What are the symptoms of infant choking on trachea and lungs?

Infancy is the most important time to pay attention to, because babies cannot express themselves or speak, so adults should observe their daily actions. When a baby chokes on his trachea and lungs, he will cough and hold his breath, and his face will turn red or purple. At this time, you must immediately hold him upright and pat the baby's back to help him breathe smoothly. If you find that the baby's condition has not improved, you must go to the hospital for examination immediately.

Performance

After a baby chokes on his trachea, the symptoms of coughing and breath-shortage may be very mild or even disappear for a period of time, resulting in a longer or shorter asymptomatic period. This makes it easy to overlook the diagnosis, so parents should be careful. Plant-based tracheal foreign bodies contain free acids, which have a significant irritating effect on the tracheal mucosa. Beans are foreign objects in the trachea. They swell after absorbing water, making it easy for airway obstruction to occur. The longer the foreign body remains in the airway, the more severe the reaction will be. It initially presents as an irritating cough, followed by symptoms of persistent cough, atelectasis or emphysema due to increased secretions in the trachea and swelling of the tracheal mucosa.

Note: As long as the child has a severe cough, parents must find out the cause in time. Some children do not show symptoms until 10 days after the cough, which means they have already developed serious lung diseases.

Breastfeeding precautions

1. Temperature test

The temperature of the milk needs to be tested before feeding. To test the temperature, just pour a few drops of milk on the inside of your wrist. Do not let an adult suck the nipple directly to avoid contamination from bacteria in the adult's mouth.

2. Disinfection of milk utensils

Bottles, nipples, soup spoons, pots, etc. used by babies must be sterilized every time and placed in a fixed container, preferably a steel pot with a lid, to ensure the quality of cleaning and sterilization.

3. Milk preparation time

Milk is a good bacterial culture medium. To prevent it from spoiling, it should be mixed according to the season. On hot days, try to eat the boiled milk in several times in the morning, and feed it after boiling each time when necessary. The milk for the evening should be boiled and kept in the refrigerator, or the milk powder can be prepared at any time according to the feeding time in the afternoon. Motivation: Daily milk can be prepared twice a day, morning and afternoon, boiled and poured into a sterilized bottle, and warmed with hot water when feeding.

If you use milk powder, you can reduce the amount of water (one third) and make the milk into a paste. When eating, add boiling water or hot rice soup to the required amount of water. This way the temperature is suitable and there is no need to keep it warm in water, but the container must be strictly disinfected. If the milk in the bottle is not finished, it should be poured into a milk pot and boiled for next use. It still needs to be boiled before consumption.

suggestion

Aspiration pneumonia will not occur if a baby chokes occasionally while feeding. Newborn babies usually have little control when feeding. Mothers can let their babies stop for a while and take a breath before eating again to avoid choking. Hold the baby up to feed: Let the baby's body be tilted at about 45 degrees, so that the milk in the stomach will naturally flow into the small intestine, which can effectively reduce the chance of vomiting caused by lying down to feed.
