What are the symptoms of bronchitis in children?

What are the symptoms of bronchitis in children?

For children, any minor illness, if not treated in time, may cause big problems, and even cause the child to lose his life. Therefore, parents need to understand some common childhood diseases in order to better understand the child's physical condition. For example, bronchitis is more common in children. If it is not treated in time, it may cause big problems.

1. Fever and cough

The main symptoms of bronchitis in children are sore throat, runny nose, mental fatigue, and even fever, but the temperature is generally not very high, about 37.8 to 38.3 degrees Celsius. Gradually, the baby will show symptoms of coughing. At the beginning, it may be just a dry cough, and when it gets worse, the sputum coughed up will turn yellow. Some babies will have symptoms of vomiting due to sputum sticking to their throats.

2. Complications

Bronchitis in children can generally be cured, and the treatment course is about a week. However, because bronchitis in children harms the baby's throat, the probability of developing asthma in the future will be higher than that of ordinary children. Therefore, mothers must take good care of their children to reduce the probability of their babies developing asthma in the future.

3. Age of onset

Pediatric bronchitis is a common disease in children. It is different from general tracheitis or bronchitis. It mostly occurs in children under two and a half years old, but 80% occurs in children under one year old. The most frequent age is six months old. The symptoms are similar to pneumonia, so when a child shows this symptom, parents should take the child to see a doctor in time.
