What to do if your newborn eats too much?

What to do if your newborn eats too much?

The body of a newborn is very fragile, so we must pay attention to protecting the health of the child in life. If there is a problem, timely treatment should be taken to ensure the health of the patient. Some young children eat too much, so what should we do if the newborn eats too much? Let me introduce this issue to you below.

Breastfed babies need to be fed every 3 hours. The daily schedule is roughly 6:00, 9:00, and 12:00 in the morning; 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 in the afternoon and 12:00 at night. Newborns need to be fed once at 3 o'clock at night. When the baby is a little older and has sufficient breast milk, babies under 5 months old can generally be fed every 3 to 3.5 hours; babies over 5 months old can be fed every 4 hours. In summer, they can be fed some cold boiled vegetable soup, about 25 to 30 ml each time. If the amount of breast milk is insufficient, fresh cow's milk, goat's milk, milk powder or soy milk substitute can be used to replace part of the breast milk, but the number of breastfeeding times a day should not be less than 3 times. If there is really no breast milk, artificial feeding can also be carried out. Breastfed babies should start adding complementary foods at 4 months old. In this way, starting from 9 months, you can reduce the number of breastfeeding during the day and add milk, milk powder or porridge. Later, gradually reduce the number of breastfeeding times and replace it with other complementary foods. At the latest, the baby can be completely weaned by about 1 year old.

Rehabilitation guidance:

1. Massage your baby's abdomen. Massaging the baby's abdomen can help his gastrointestinal motility, speed up digestion and absorption, and relieve the symptoms of overeating. Don't let your baby cry during massage, try to coax him, otherwise it will affect the effect.

2. Give your baby some hawthorn, apple and other fruits and vegetables that are good for the stomach and digestion. Giving your baby a little hawthorn after meals can effectively relieve the symptoms of bloating.

3. Give your baby more water. Give your baby more water, preferably small amounts and frequent drinks, and drink more boiled water. Water can promote the secretion of digestive juices and help alleviate the symptoms of indigestion.

4. If the above treatment methods are ineffective, you should consider giving your baby medicine. Ask a pediatrician to prescribe some children's medicines instead of adult medicines. It is best to give your baby some Chinese patent medicine.

The above is my opinion on this issue. If the patient has the above problems, it is necessary to take timely treatment measures to ensure the patient's safety and avoid dangerous situations for the baby due to the above-mentioned problem of the baby eating too much. Finally, I wish the baby good health.
