Causes of sleep disorders in children

Causes of sleep disorders in children

In daily life, many young friends will find a problem, that is, their babies often have sleep disorders. Babies are very energetic, and some children cannot fall asleep until 11 or 12 o'clock at night. So what’s going on with kids’ energy? Is it a sleep disorder? Next I will introduce it to you.

Insomnia mainly occurs in older children. They are unwilling to go to bed when it is time to go to bed. Even if they lie in bed, they toss and turn and find it difficult to fall asleep. Some children repeatedly ask their parents to tell them stories and can only fall asleep after 11 or 12 o'clock late at night.

The main reason for insomnia in preschool children is excessive excitement before going to bed, such as running, playing stimulating games, listening to thrilling stories, watching horror TV, and even encountering lightning and thunder before a storm. Some children are reluctant to go to bed because they mistakenly believe that sleeping will take them away from their parents' love and care for too long. This type of insomnia caused by separation anxiety is more likely to occur when children first enter nursery or kindergarten. Children are also prone to insomnia if their parents are not in harmony or divorced. There are also a very small number of children who, when they grow up, understand what "death" means, and they will not want to sleep at night because they are afraid of death.

School-age children sometimes become anxious and depressed because they worry about their academic performance, which makes it difficult for them to fall asleep and they wake up easily.

Create a good sleeping environment.

Give your child a comfortable bedroom and have him go to bed at the same time every day. Avoid exposing your child to overly exciting or scary things before bedtime, and give your child a relaxed and peaceful mood to prepare for sleep. After the child goes to bed, mom and dad can spend a few moments with the child to help him fall asleep comfortably and peacefully.

Beware of your child's sleep disorders

When a night terror occurs, even though the child may not be woken up at the time, the mother can still hold the child, which will help him calm down slowly and continue to sleep. If a child wakes up and finds himself in his mother's arms, he will feel extremely warm and safe.

In fact, there is no disorder in the child's sleep. This is because the child lives a normal life. Taking naps and sleeping during the day frequently will cause certain harm to children's sleep. Children should have a reasonable amount of sleep time. It will not disturb your child's sleep.
