Why do children's fingers itch?

Why do children's fingers itch?

It is said that the road of parenting is always full of various "thorns". Indeed, for us who are new mothers, many times we don’t know why the baby suddenly cries. This is because the baby is still young, so he cannot express his feelings clearly. For example, some babies always touch their fingers, most likely because their fingers are itchy. So what is going on? How should we solve this problem effectively?

1. What is the reason for small pimples on the baby's hands?

How to judge if there are small pimples on baby's hands

Small bumps on the back of the hands or under the forearms of children over 5 years old are often considered to be sand dermatitis, also known as friction eczema; it is mostly caused by playing with sand or water;

The occurrence of sand dermatitis is mostly due to the fact that children are too young, have poor resistance, and are not adapted to the world. When playing with soil or sand, they become allergic to external friction and stimulation, resulting in small bumps.

Treatment of small pimples on baby's hands

1. Use hormone ointments such as Wuji ointment for external use, apply twice a day, and generally the symptoms can be relieved after three to five times; in severe cases, you can apply compound phellodendron liquid at the same time;

If the itching is obvious, it is recommended to take oral antipruritic drugs such as loratadine syrup at the same time; the specific dosage needs to be determined according to age and weight;

2. If your baby has eczema and the disease is mild, you can apply children's eczema cream or zinc oxide ointment. You can also use honeysuckle decoction or chrysanthemum decoction to wash the baby's body. The bath water should not be too hot, and do not use soap or perfumed soap. Generally, the baby will feel much better after a few days. If there is skin suppuration or systemic symptoms such as fever, you must go to the hospital for anti-inflammatory and antibacterial treatment.

How to prevent small pimples on baby's hands

Just let it happen naturally; many parents stop letting their children play when they hear that it is caused by playing with sand and soil; in fact, this is a huge misunderstanding! ! Why do children get this disease? It is because they are not adapted to it. There are too many similar things in this world. If you want them to survive in this world, you must slowly adapt to it. Therefore, I generally recommend parents: children can play if they want to. Even if they get sick, they can take medicine. Generally, they will get better naturally after one or two attacks.

Things to note when your baby has small pimples on his hands

Do not use soap or other cleaning products to wash hands. Many parents let their children wash their hands with soap after playing outside, saying that this is a good way to wash hands. In fact, soap and other cleaning products will aggravate the disease. Just rinse with clean water.

In terms of diet, a light diet is good for it; you can appropriately supplement vitamins such as vitamin C, or fruits rich in vitamin C; in addition, taking calcium tablets can also prevent and treat this;

2. What to do if small bumps on the back of the hand are itchy

Dyshidrosis

It is a skin disease that is more likely to occur in the summer.

The general symptoms are small blisters the size of rice grains, which are slightly higher than the surface of the skin and very obvious to the touch. There is also an itchy and burning sensation, which will turn into dandruff and fall off on their own after a while. Dyshidrosis usually heals naturally within a few weeks after it occurs, and only a few patients will have repeated attacks throughout the year.

Treatment:

1. After the onset of the disease, do not use hot water to wash or scratch the blisters to avoid aggravating the condition.

2. When blisters occur, soak them in 3% boric acid solution or 0.5% lead acetate solution. When they are dry and scaly, apply triamcinolone ointment or 10% urea cream externally. Take oral sedatives and antipruritic agents if necessary.

3. Avoid contact of hands with water and detergent as much as possible, keep feet ventilated and cool, and apply more lotion.

4. Avoid scratching.
