1. The baby has a cold or has a fever caused by other diseases. Getting a vaccination at this time will increase the body temperature and may aggravate the baby's condition.

2. The baby is in the recovery period after suffering from an infectious disease or has a history of contact with acute infectious diseases but has not completed the quarantine period. Getting a vaccination at this time can easily cause adverse reactions or make the original condition worse.

3. Children with asthma, eczema, urticaria and allergic constitutions are prone to allergic reactions after vaccination.

Generally speaking, people with the above diseases are not suitable for leprosy vaccination. But if you have seen a doctor and the doctor thinks it is okay to get vaccinated, then there is no problem.

2. What are the reactions of babies receiving leprosy vaccine at eight months old?

Most people will not experience any adverse symptoms after vaccination, but a small number of people have weak immune systems or are in the incubation period of the disease and will experience general reactions after vaccination such as fever, redness, swelling, pain, and nodules at the injection site. Most people recover within three days to a week.

1. Within 24 hours after vaccination, pain and tenderness will occur at the injection site, which will generally subside on its own in 2 to 3 days;

2. Fever will generally occur 1 to 2 weeks after vaccination. Mild fever will resolve on its own within 1 to 2 days and does not require treatment. Drink plenty of water and keep warm to prevent secondary infection. Moderate fever or fever lasting for more than 48 hours can be reduced with medication.

3. Generally, a mild rash may appear within 12 days after vaccination. The rash usually lasts no more than 2 days and generally does not require special treatment.

4. When mild or moderate reactions occur, close observation is required. Generally, no treatment is required. Pay attention to proper rest, drink plenty of water, keep warm, and prevent secondary diseases. In case of severe reaction, send to hospital for observation and treatment.
