Isotopes, as a commonly used scientific treatment method, are often used in various therapeutic operations. We also know that hemangiomas often occur in infants and young children, which makes parents very worried. Therefore, parents can feel more at ease by reading about the treatment methods and various treatment conditions. Next, let’s take a look at what is the method of isotope treatment for infantile hemangioma? Common treatments include isotope application, laser therapy, liquid nitrogen freezing, local injection of sclerosing agents or bleomycin, oral hormones, tumor restraint, interventional therapy and surgical resection. Since the first introduction of propranolol for the treatment of hemangiomas in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2008, there have been reports of the successful treatment of hemangiomas with propranolol both at home and abroad. It is mainly used for special areas where the tumor is large and not suitable for treatment with plasters. Generally, 1 mg/kg is taken once. During the treatment process, special attention should be paid to the side effects of propranolol on children: slowing heart rate, lowering blood pressure, hypoglycemia, bronchospasm, etc. Doctors will choose different treatment methods based on the child's age, tumor location, type, morphology, and progression. In comparison, the isotope application method is simple and easy, leaves no scars, and is especially effective for facial treatment. Isotope patch therapy for the treatment of skin hemangiomas has been carried out in China since 1958. The Department of Nuclear Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University was one of the first institutions in China to carry out this practice and has persisted in doing so, accumulating more than 50 years of clinical experience. Experience with isotope dressing therapy has shown that isotope dressing using beta rays to treat hemangiomas is an effective, simple, convenient, mature treatment method that is economical, safe, and painless and harmless to children. Radioactive drug patch therapy is the use of radioactive nuclides made into applicators to treat hemangiomas. Currently, it mainly includes 32P applicator therapy and 90Sr-90Y applicator therapy. The 90 Strontium-90 Yttrium applicator is a radionuclide therapy device under state control. It is not allowed to be used in general hospitals and general laboratories are not allowed to configure it on their own. 90 Sr-90 Yt applicators are available in square, round and a few special shapes. With the development of modern medical science and technology, the risk of sequelae from scientific treatment is decreasing. Therefore, after understanding the medical or surgical process, patients and their families will have more trust in such medical methods. So I hope you can read the above treatment methods and choose the one that suits you. After receiving treatment, you will be able to believe in the medical methods and accept the treatment optimistically. |
