Tips for babies not sleeping at night

Many mothers are troubled by their babies not sleeping at night. Babies are very energetic and usually play happily during the day. They should be very tired and should sleep well. But why don’t babies sleep at night? In fact, babies are too excited to play during the day, so they usually want to play at night instead of sleeping. Mothers are also very distressed about this. What can they do? Here are some tips for babies not sleeping at night:

1. Reduce the time your baby sleeps during the day

You can play with your baby more during the day, or put the baby in a well-lit place to make it difficult for him to fall asleep; wake up the baby once every two hours of sleep, and don't rush to feed him after waking up. Play with him for half an hour first and then feed him. At night, try to dim the lights and make the environment quiet so that you can feel comfortable and sleep well.

2. Prepare well before going to bed

1. Food accumulation, indigestion, getting angry or eating too much at night can also cause restless sleep. It is recommended to feed porridge, noodles and other solid foods at least two or three hours before going to bed, and drink a little milk before going to bed. Do not feed too much, otherwise the baby will easily wake up from urination.

2. Don’t let your baby play too excitedly before going to bed, and don’t tease the baby too much. 3. Create a good sleeping environment for your baby. The room temperature is suitable, quiet and the light is dim. The covering should be light, soft and dry. Let your baby urinate before going to bed. And use diapers for the baby.

3. Nutritional supplementation for babies is very important

Babies who are not well-nourished are often prone to illness. Calcium deficiency is one of the primary factors that cause babies to sleep restlessly, causing them to wake up at night, have night terrors, become irritable and restless at night, and sleep restlessly. In addition, lack of vitamin D leads to calcium and phosphorus metabolism disorders and low blood calcium, which is medically known as hypocalcemia. The symptoms are often irritability, crying, annoyance, and fright, and in severe cases, convulsions may occur. If this is the case, you should see a doctor and give your baby appropriate calcium and vitamin D supplements and get more sun exposure. In addition, teething or other diseases of the baby can certainly cause sleep disturbance. The night before one becomes sick or has a fever is often restless. All of these require careful observation and judgment.

The problem of babies not sleeping needs to be taken seriously, because the harm is still very great. If children do not sleep or do not get enough sleep, it will affect the child's rest. If the rest time is affected, the child is prone to malnutrition. If the baby is still a night owl after using the above methods, mothers should take the child to the hospital for examination.
