Do you know how to solve the problem of missing teeth in children?

Dental health is very important to everyone. If a child has missing teeth, parents must pay great attention to it and find effective ways to solve the problem in time. The sooner the problem is solved, the easier it will be to avoid affecting the child's future life.

1. Children’s outdoor activities increase during the holidays, and bumps and bruises are inevitable, especially maxillofacial and dental injuries are more common. When an emergency occurs, parents should know some emergency handling methods.

2. The deciduous teeth growth period, which refers to 1.5 to 2.5 years old. This is the period when children's front deciduous teeth are erupting and growing, and the front deciduous teeth are most vulnerable to damage. The main reason is that children aged one or two have just learned to walk and are prone to falling and hurting themselves or due to neglect by their guardians. If a child's front teeth are knocked out during this period, he or she should go to the dental department for emergency treatment in time. First, take an X-ray to check whether the tooth root is broken. If the tooth is not broken, do not remove it easily. Extracting deciduous teeth too early will cause premature eruption of permanent teeth and affect the development of the roots of permanent teeth. You should go to a qualified hospital for dental nerve treatment and crown repair. If the tooth root is broken, it can only be extracted, but care must be taken to prevent infection. Maintain the normal development of children's dental and maxillofacial system and create conditions for future replacement of permanent front teeth.

3. Children’s permanent teeth growth period, that is, after children aged 8 to 9 have replaced their permanent teeth. During this stage, the crowns of permanent front teeth often break or fall off due to trauma. The main causes of the occurrence are increased outdoor activities, sports, and accidental causes such as traffic accidents. If a permanent front tooth falls out due to trauma, you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately. When a tooth falls out, the main thing to do during the period before going to the hospital is to prevent the fallen tooth from drying out and contamination, and to avoid various external stimuli. When a fallen tooth is covered with dust and contaminated, it is best to rinse it with saline solution. If saline solution is not available, rinse it with tap water. Do not scrub it, and do not scrub the tooth root with disinfectant, or remove the soft tissue around the tooth root. This will destroy the cells on the surface of the tooth root, which are an important factor in the success of tooth reimplantation. After rinsing, the fallen tooth should be immediately put back into its original socket, or held in the mouth, or placed in fresh milk or saline, and go to the hospital immediately for treatment. The survival rate and treatment effect of fallen teeth are generally satisfactory if they are implanted into the socket within 30 minutes. If a broken tooth is not treated promptly, it can easily lead to infection. Because broken teeth are more sensitive, bacteria can easily invade and cause tooth nerve infection. Therefore, when a permanent front tooth is injured and falls out, the first important thing is to buy time and go to the hospital for treatment immediately.
