What is the problem with the baby's heavy breathing and red sound?

It goes without saying that parents love their babies very much and hope to give them all the good things. However, if they are a little negligent in daily life, some diseases may affect the baby's health. There are many reasons why babies make gasping and wheezing sounds. When facing this situation, many parents are also worried, so let's analyze the reasons for you below.

The breathing of a newborn baby is faster, maybe about 40 times per minute, and one inhalation and one exhalation is counted as one breath. The baby makes this kind of sound mostly due to poor development of the throat. Supplement the baby with cod liver oil after one month, feed water at ordinary times, and if the baby has nasal congestion, apply a hot towel to the nose, or squeeze a few drops of breast milk to soften the nasal mucus to relieve the nasal congestion. Let the baby sleep on his side, it will get better naturally when he grows up.

Symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection in children of different ages

1. Infants under three months old: mild fever or no fever. Symptoms caused by nasal obstruction and nasal congestion are more prominent. Such as crying and restlessness, breathing with open mouth, difficulty sucking, refusing milk, sometimes accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea.

2. Symptoms of infants and young children:

(1) The systemic viral symptoms are relatively severe. At the beginning of the disease, a sudden high fever of 39.5-40℃ occurs, which lasts for 1-2 days, or even several days in some cases. Some patients also have convulsions accompanied by high fever.

(2) Symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, or sore throat are generally more severe;

(3) Often accompanied by digestive tract symptoms such as anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation;

(4) Physical examination revealed no abnormal signs other than pharyngeal congestion.

After analyzing the causes above, we know that the baby's heavy breathing and wheezing sound are often normal manifestations of newborn breathing. However, if it is caused by nasal congestion, we should pay attention to taking effective measures to help the baby solve it, and in daily life, we should also pay attention to effectively prevent the baby from catching a cold.
