Causes of knee synovitis in children

Causes of knee synovitis in children

Because children are relatively young and their bones are not yet fully developed, they are easily harmed by trauma or bacterial infection, which can cause synovitis and even adverse symptoms such as joint edema and pain. However, do you know what are the causes of knee synovitis in children? Let’s take a look at the following knowledge.

First, joint trauma: Most children like to be active, but their bones are fragile, their cartilage is not fully developed, and they are prone to trauma. If the trauma cannot be healed in time, it will cause children's knee synovitis.

Second, bacterial infection: Children have weak resistance. When their joints are infected with bacteria, their immune system cannot quickly kill the bacteria, which can easily cause synovitis, joint effusion, and a high incidence of knee synovitis in children.

Third, wind-cold and rheumatism: wind-cold and rheumatism will affect the blood supply to the joints, causing poor microcirculation in the joints and causing adverse symptoms of synovitis. The treatment of synovitis needs to take the cause into consideration. Simple synovitis has not yet caused bone parenchymal lesions, but if not treated in time, the injured bone may suffer from ischemic bone necrosis.

The course of children's knee synovitis is long. If it is not treated in time, the effusion cannot be absorbed quickly and it can easily turn into a chronic disease, leading to adhesion of joints and limited movement. Therefore, in daily life, once joint synovitis occurs, you should go to a regular hospital in time to receive reasonable diagnosis and treatment in order to recover from the disease.
