How to treat asthma in children and what should you pay attention to?

Asthma is related to polygenic inheritance. The prevalence of asthma in relatives of asthma patients is higher than the prevalence in the population, and the closer the relationship, the higher the prevalence; the more serious the patient's condition, the higher the prevalence of his relatives. Therefore, some children may suffer from asthma. We should pay more attention to children's asthma because they are weak and asthma attacks may threaten their lives. How to effectively treat asthma in children?

Bronchial asthma is a chronic airway inflammation involving multiple cells, especially mast cells, eosinophils and T lymphocytes. In susceptible individuals, this inflammation can cause recurrent symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness and/or cough, which often occur at night and/or early in the morning, and the airway becomes more reactive to multiple stimuli.

However, symptoms may resolve on their own or with treatment. In the past decade, the prevalence and mortality rates of asthma have been on the rise in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. There are about 100 million asthma patients worldwide, and it has become a major chronic disease that seriously threatens public health. The prevalence of asthma in my country is about 1%, and it can reach 3% in children. It is estimated that there are more than 10 million asthma patients in the country.

1. After identifying the allergen, you should avoid contact with it again. For example, if the asthma attack is triggered by indoor dust or mites, you should keep the room clean, dry the bedding frequently, and open the windows for ventilation to keep the indoor air fresh.

2. It is not advisable to keep cats, dogs and other small animals indoors.

3. Pay attention to your child's physical exercise, such as regular cold water baths, wiping the body with a dry towel, and other skin exercises to relieve the tension of the vagus nerve in the lungs, trachea, and bronchi.

4. Improving nutrition, avoiding mental stimulation, avoiding colds and excessive fatigue also play an important role in preventing asthma attacks.

Parents who usually take care of children, if there are children at home, should prevent their children from coming into contact with substances that may cause asthma or irritating foods. Children should also be given regular check-ups to prevent them from developing other diseases. Pay more attention to your child's physical changes, detect your child's illness in time, and seek medical treatment in time.
