Some children eat less, have anorexia, sleep poorly, are thin, have poor resistance, are particularly prone to catching colds, get sick easily, and are weak. Parents should pay attention to this as this may be a case of insufficient qi and blood. Children's lack of qi and blood may also manifest as easy hair loss, poor mental state, fatigue, frequent dizziness, out of breath after activity, easily broken nails, pale or yellow complexion, white lips, fear of cold and always cold hands and feet. If these symptoms occur, it is recommended to see a doctor for examination, otherwise your health will be greatly affected.

1. Look at the skin

A healthy child's skin should be light pink, elastic and lustrous, which is a sign of sufficient Qi and blood. If the child's face is dark, blue, yellow or white, it means that the child has heavy cold and dampness in the body, poor gastrointestinal function, indigestion, anemia, etc.

2. Look at the hair

A healthy child has black, thick and smooth hair; if the hair is thin, yellow, standing on end and not smooth, it means that the child is lacking in energy and blood or has a nutritional imbalance.

3. Look at the ears

Ears with perfect, round shapes, and that feel fleshy and soft to the touch have sufficient kidney energy. However, ears that do not look pretty, with more bones than flesh and that are hard, are congenitally deficient, indicating that the mother's body was deficient in energy and blood and had severe cold and dampness throughout the pregnancy, which has affected the child's health.

Children with insufficient Qi and blood are often accompanied by anemia, malnutrition, etc. Therefore, it is recommended to diversify their nutrition in the diet and supplement it with foods rich in iron, such as pig blood, lean meat, dairy products, beans, and fresh vegetables and fruits, to prevent anemia and promote iron absorption. You can also use Qi-replenishing Chinese medicinal materials to cook porridge and soup. At the same time, develop good eating habits, eat regularly and at set times, and relieve the symptoms of insufficient qi and blood.
