I believe that many people with children know what hemangioma is. The most common hemangioma we have is a skin hemangioma, which mainly occurs on the skin, such as the face, shoulders, buttocks, forehead and other places of the child. However, if a child's hemangioma grows in the mouth, many people will be surprised. So how to treat oral hemangioma in newborns? Hemangioma clinically manifests as a relatively rare benign tumor and is usually treated with a comprehensive approach. Most hemangiomas in their early stages, such as port-wine stains, capillary hemangiomas, and cavernous hemangiomas, can be dynamically observed. That is, go to the hospital for follow-up by a pediatric surgeon every 3-6 months to observe changes in size, color, and thickness to decide whether the hemangioma can be waited for to resolve on its own. This is generally suitable for children under 2 years old with hemangiomas. Laser treatment is generally suitable for port-wine stains. Hemangioma is the most common benign tumor in children, with an incidence rate of about 3% to 8%. Due to my country's large population base, children with hemangiomas are very common, and most of them are female babies, with a male to female ratio of about 1:3 to 5. It can appear in various parts of the human body and is characterized by rapid growth, especially in the first year after birth. Although hemangioma is a benign tumor, it destroys surrounding tissues, causing cosmetic defects in children and leading to functional impairment. In severe cases, ulceration, bleeding, infection, etc. may occur, and may even be life-threatening. The diagnosis of most hemangiomas is not difficult, but their treatment has not yet been fully resolved. About 2/3 of hemangiomas can be detected after birth, so the correct diagnosis and treatment should start in the neonatal period. Since hemangioma is not a true tumor, its natural process goes through three stages: growth, stagnation, and regression. Most hemangiomas enter the involution phase 8 to 12 months after birth, characterized by decreased tension and fading of the hemangioma, the appearance of a white stripe in the middle of the hemangioma, gradual expansion of the pale area, and gradual shrinkage of the tumor before slowly disappearing. 1. Pay attention to the rationality of nutrition The first thing patients with this disease should pay attention to is the nutritional balance of the diet. The food should be diversified, and they should also eat more high-protein and vitamin foods. 2. Avoid eating spicy food Patients should avoid eating spicy and irritating foods in their daily lives. This is because these foods will have a stimulating effect on the stomach and intestines, increase the burden on blood vessels, and thus aggravate the condition. 3. Eat more vegetables and fruits Patients should eat more fresh vegetables and fruits in their lives, because the vitamins and trace elements in vegetables and fruits play a good role in meeting the body's nutritional needs. In fact, don't panic if a child has a hemangioma in his mouth. The child's hemangioma disease is a treatable disease. No matter where it grows in the child, there are good treatment methods. When treating the child's hemangioma disease, you must also provide good care between diseases. After the child has a hemangioma in his mouth, you should give the child more light but nutritious food. |
