What to do if your child is hyperactive

What to do if your child is hyperactive

Children are all naughty, and being active is a natural behavior of children. However, if some children have other bad behaviors besides being active, such as having difficulty learning, emotional instability and other symptoms, parents should pay more attention, because the child may suffer from ADHD. If this is true, what treatment methods should parents adopt?

Encourage your children more, cultivate their self-esteem and self-confidence, and make them interested in learning and life. This is very helpful for children with mild ADHD and can help them return to normal as soon as possible.

Parents change their parenting style. We should neither be too strict or too harsh on our children, nor be too indulgent, as these will cause or aggravate the symptoms of ADHD in children. "Reducing intervention" and "creating a free atmosphere" are effective in preventing and treating ADHD.

Parents should urge their babies to eat and sleep on time and get enough sleep. Children should not be allowed to watch computer or TV until late at night to indulge their interests, thus affecting their sleep.

Avoid or do not let your children eat high-calorie, greasy foods, such as fried chicken legs, French fries, grilled lamb kebabs, spicy strips, etc. Eating too much of these foods will induce ADHD in children.

Eat less food containing lead. Because lead can cause changes in children's visual movement, memory perception, image thinking, behavior, etc., and cause hyperactivity, children with ADHD should eat less lead-containing foods such as preserved eggs and shellfish.

Teachers in school should actively cooperate with parents and try to arrange such children to sit in the front row during class. Teachers should talk to them more to reduce their study pressure. If children make progress in concentrating, they should be praised and encouraged in time to facilitate reinforcement.

ADHD is common among the general population of children, which inevitably makes many parents more worried. In fact, a child’s love of movement does not necessarily mean that the child suffers from ADHD. Parents should pay close attention to their child’s every move and adopt the above-mentioned methods for treatment after a confirmed diagnosis. This is also being responsible for the child’s future.
