How should the bib be disinfected?

The issue of children has always been a concern for many mothers, especially when it comes to daily care of infants and young children, many mothers need to pay extra attention and care. Many mothers have had this experience: their children often drool for no apparent reason, which can easily lead to the contamination of bacteria and make their children sick. Thus, a product called drool wipes was developed. So how should the bib be disinfected?

What are the methods for disinfecting bib?

A bib, also known as a eating bib, baby bib, or baby scarf, is a baby product made of waterproof material.

Newborn babies generally do not drool because their salivary glands do not have perfect secretion functions and the amount of saliva secreted is small. After 4 months, saliva secretion increases due to the addition of complementary foods. After 6 months, the deciduous teeth begin to erupt, which can stimulate the supragingival nerves and reflexively increase the secretion of the salivary glands. At this time, the child's ability to swallow saliva has not yet been formed, and excessive saliva will flow out from the corners of the mouth involuntarily, which is commonly known as "drooling", especially in children aged 1 to 2 years old. Drooling at this period is a normal physiological phenomenon, and parents do not need to worry about it. After 2 years old, the child's ability to swallow saliva gradually becomes sound, and this phenomenon will naturally disappear. Before the baby's swallowing ability is fully developed, he or she will need the help of a waterproof bib.

Because saliva is acidic and contains some digestive enzymes and other substances, it has a certain irritating effect on the skin. Therefore, for children who drool frequently, parents should often wipe the saliva from their mouths, wash it with warm water, and then apply oil to protect the skin of the chin and neck, and prevent the saliva from staining clothes.

The handkerchief used to wipe the saliva of children should be soft, preferably made of pure cotton gauze. It should be washed and ironed frequently. Do not use force when wiping, just wipe the saliva gently to avoid damaging the local skin. But such frequent wiping is also a physical job. The best way is to use a waterproof bib, but choose one that is light and soft so as not to put extra burden on infants and young children. Do not use a heavy or thick bib, and the material must be safe. A bib is a cleaning product that is tied under the chest and jaw and used by infants, the elderly, and the disabled when eating and drinking. It is shaped like a children's bib or bib.

1. Wash the clothes with laundry detergent first;

2. Pour half a basin of water (about 2L), take half a bottle cap of Blue Moon Color Bleach and 1 bottle cap of Collar Cleaner and add them into the water, put the clothes in, soak for 2 hours (soak overnight if necessary), rub gently, and rinse clean. This will effectively remove color stains and make colored clothes look bright as new.

Note: Color bleaching is not suitable for easily faded clothes or dry-cleaned clothes. Avoid contact with metal buttons, zippers, metal decorations, etc. on clothes.

You can also use collar cleaner to apply to the special stains, and use a little force with your hands, and the stains will be easily washed off. Don't put it in the washing machine, otherwise it will be difficult to wash out. If the bib becomes hard, you can soak it in fabric softener and it will become soft.

As a new product, bibs are a blessing for many mothers. Their appearance provides more protection for their babies. At the same time, the problem they bring is how to properly disinfect bibs. From the above description, we can know that the disinfection of bibs is actually very simple and quick, so that after disinfection, the baby can be protected from disease.
