Prevention of emphysema in children

Prevention of emphysema in children

When children are young, what we parents worry about most is their health. We are afraid that their children are unhealthy and that they will easily catch colds and get sick. Many children suffer from emphysema after birth. There are many causes of this disease. Emphysema is a lung infection. If the child lives in a poor environment and is exposed to secondhand smoke or polluted air for a long time, the child will get emphysema. Therefore, many of us parents want to prevent this disease for our children in time. Let’s take a look at the preventive measures for pediatric emphysema.

There are two types of emphysema in children: compensatory emphysema and obstructive emphysema. Obstructive emphysema is relatively more serious. It is also a bit troublesome to treat, so it is better to prevent pediatric emphysema before it happens. Here are some key points for preventing pediatric emphysema to parents.

Five key points to prevent emphysema in children

1. Stay away from the source of disease

Avoid contact with patients with respiratory infections as much as possible. During epidemic seasons, you should take your baby to visit friends less often and try not to go to public places. If someone in your family has a cold, you should reduce contact with your baby.

2. Slowly reduce fever

Do not put a sweating child in a drafty place to cool down, and do not let the child drink cold drinks or other foods quickly, as this will cause the child's open sweat pores to close quickly, causing an imbalance in the body's regulation and leading to respiratory infections. The correct approach is: when the child is sweating, do not take off his clothes immediately. Let the child calm down, wipe off the sweat, and wait until the child is no longer sweating, then take off one piece of clothing and let the child go to play.

3. Drink warm water often

You can let your children drink more warm boiled water, which can not only prevent colds, but more importantly, it is beneficial to children's gastrointestinal tract and lungs.

4. Add or remove clothes in time

Although children are not as cold-resistant as adults, they are mostly in motion and will not be quiet even when they are asleep, so it is enough for them to dress similarly to adults. Mothers should add or remove their baby's clothes appropriately according to temperature changes, and avoid exposing their baby to cold air suddenly when they are sweating.

5. Exercise regularly

If the child already has obstructive pulmonary emphysema, the following Chinese medicine prescription can be used for treatment. Crush the eggplant stalks after the frost, boil water to make a paste. Crush the peanut stalks and boil water to make a paste. Mix the two into a prescription in a one-to-one ratio. Give it to the child three times a day. Drinking it for ten days is a course of treatment. Two courses of treatment are acceptable.

When preventing children from emphysema, you must follow the above methods. Emphysema has a great impact on children and may cause them to have difficulty breathing, so preventive measures must be taken in a timely manner. During this period, remember to give your child a reasonable diet, avoid giving your child irritating food, let your child breathe more fresh air, and ventilate the room frequently, otherwise it will have an impact.
