Standard measurement method for height and weight of one-year-old baby

After the birth of a child, parents are very worried, especially in terms of nutrition. Many parents believe that the more they eat, the better they will grow. Often, they will find that children of the same age have great differences in height and weight. Because they do not understand this knowledge, many family members are quite anxious. So what is the standard measurement method for the height and weight of a one-year-old baby?

Calculation method of standard baby height and weight table Height and weight are important indicators to measure whether the growth and development of children is normal. The standard calculation formula for normal height and weight of children is introduced as follows:

Standard measurement formula for infant weight:

Weight at 1-6 months (kg) = birth weight (or 3 kg) + age in months × 0.6 (kg)

Weight from 7 to 12 months (kg) = birth weight (or 3 kg) + age in months × 0.5 (kg)

2-10 years old weight (kg) = age × 2 + 7 (or 8)

Standard growth rules for infants and young children's height:

The average height of a full-term baby is 50 cm. It increases by about 25 cm in the first year after birth, so it is about 75 cm at one year old. Thereafter, it increases by an average of about 5 cm each year. Therefore, the height (cm) of a child aged 2-12 years old = age × 5 + 75 (cm). Anyone whose height exceeds the standard by 10% or is less than 10% is considered abnormal.
