What are the dangers of scrotal effusion in children?

When children are young, there will always be some problems, especially little boys. Some boys will have scrotal fluid accumulation when they are young. Some family members do not know the harm of this disease and always think that the child is still young and it will be fine when he grows up. In fact, this approach is incorrect, because this disease has relatively great harm. Let me introduce to you the harms and treatments!

Normally there is a small amount of fluid (2-3 ml) in the sac of the testicle vagina, which is used to lubricate and protect the testicles. If there is too much fluid, it is called a hydrocele.

harm:

Hydrocele may affect fertility for the following reasons:

① The hydrocele around the testicles compresses the testicles, affecting blood circulation and spermatogenesis.

② If the hydrocele is too large, the penis will be wrapped by the scrotal skin, which is not conducive to normal sexual intercourse.

③ Those suffering from diseases such as tuberculosis and orchitis are not conducive to fertility. Testicular hydrocele has little effect on male fertility before puberty, but after entering puberty, severe hydrocele is detrimental to testicular development and may cause male infertility after reaching childbearing age. For patients who receive treatment before puberty, their testicular spermatogenesis function is mostly normal in adulthood and their fertility is not affected.

treat:

(1) Surgical treatment: high cost and possible recurrence.

(2) Puncture, extract fluid and inject hardener: Puncture the anterior wall of the scrotum, extract the fluid inside the scrotum, and then inject hardener. Sometimes the injection may cause complications such as epididymitis and orchitis. It is contraindicated for communicating hydrocele, and is not suitable for patients with very thick cyst walls, multilocular cysts, or those with epididymal or testicular lesions. Therefore, it has not been widely accepted yet.

(3) Traditional Chinese medicine treatment: low cost, no side effects, no pain, not prone to recurrence, simple and easy to use, and a green treatment for hydrocele.

After reading the editor's introduction, I believe you have a certain understanding of scrotal hydrops in children. If your child happens to have this condition, it is best to take the child to the hospital for treatment in time. This disease can be cured as long as it is treated actively. Generally speaking, the earlier the treatment, the easier it is to cure.
