Many people will encounter children with pediatric hernia in life, so how is pediatric hernia formed? I believe that many people have very little knowledge in this area, but in fact, as a parent, you must know something, because this will allow you to better take care of your children. After all, it is the first time to be a parent and everyone has no experience, so you must read more books on this subject or learn about other people's experiences. 1. Decreased abdominal wall strength. Under normal circumstances, there are some relatively weak areas in the structure of the abdominal wall's muscles, fascia and other tissues, especially in children, whose muscles and fascia tension is not strong. The inguinal canal, direct hernia triangle and other areas are more prone to hernia. 2. Increased intra-abdominal pressure. On the basis of insufficient abdominal wall strength, increased intra-abdominal pressure becomes the cause of extra-abdominal hernia. Frequent crying of infants and young children and some congenital diseases, such as ascites and intra-abdominal tumors, become the predisposing factors of the disease. In clinical treatment, the most common inguinal oblique hernia in children is basically accounting for more than 90% of extra-abdominal hernias in children. This is certainly related to the common pathogenic factors mentioned above, but there is also another special embryonic development factor behind this. The testicles of infant embryos develop in the abdominal cavity and begin to descend from the abdominal cavity in the seventh month of embryogenesis, pushing abdominal tissue from the external ring of the inguinal canal to form the scrotum. During this process, the peritoneal tissue on the surface of the testicle forms a sheath-like protrusion. After the baby is born, the processus vaginalis closes on its own. However, some congenital oblique hernias in children cause incomplete closure of the processus vaginalis, which communicates with the abdominal cavity, causing intestinal prolapse and forming a hernia. Children with inguinal hernia will experience a reducible mass in the groin area. The mass is normal tissue in the abdominal cavity, most commonly the intestine or greater omentum. Because the hernia mass may gradually increase in size as the disease progresses, aggravate abdominal wall damage, and affect intestinal function, it should be treated actively. In short, there are many reasons for the formation of hernia in children, and it does not happen overnight, so you must pay more attention when taking care of your children, so that your children can grow up happier and better improve their immunity, so that you can be less worried. |
