The reason why the baby's lymphocytes are high

When we talk about babies, we undoubtedly feel that they are cute, small, delicate, and fragile. Yes, they are fragile, and to them, nature is many times more dangerous than their mother's belly. When babies are in danger, their parents are the most worried. Today, I will share some of the worries for parents all over the world. I have specially prepared the reasons why babies have high lymphocytes. Without further ado, let’s take a look.

Because the baby's immune system is not fully developed, and the child's immune system starts 4 to 6 days after birth and ends at 4 to 6 years old. During this period, the ratio of lymphocytes to neutrophils is exactly the opposite of that of adults, which is called four-six crossover. Therefore, there will be a relatively high number of lymphocytes and relatively few neutrophils, which is a normal phenomenon.

If the total white blood cell count is normal and there are no symptoms such as a cold, it cannot be diagnosed as a viral infection. Because the developmental characteristics of infants are different from those of adults, the characteristics of the disease are also different. High lymphocytes do not necessarily mean viral infection. This result is generally applied to adults, but there may be other reasons. And changes in babies are related to development. Generally, there will be some changes after one year old, and generally after six years old, it will be close to a normal adult. As long as the child has no other abnormalities (including whether the child is infected with any disease during pregnancy), there is no problem. Be sure to let your children drink more water, which can help excrete metabolic products from the body and prevent toxins from accumulating in the body, which is very good for health.

Babies under 6 months old usually have a lot of antibodies from their mothers and are less likely to get sick during this period. The lymphocyte percentage of infants is much higher than that of adults, but it will gradually decrease with age. Generally, it is not until the age of 4-6 that the ratio of lymphocytes to granulocytes becomes 50% and 50%, while for adults it is 20%-40%.

If there are no symptoms of viral infection and the rate is not higher than 60%, it is fine.

The above are the reasons why babies have high lymphocytes that the thoughtful editor has prepared for everyone. We have learned that high lymphocytes in babies are a normal physiological phenomenon. Parents don’t need to worry. I hope that my introduction can help you and your parents. If you are really worried, go to a regular hospital for treatment. We must protect our babies well. I wish all babies in the world good health.
