What kind of examinations do newborns need?

3. Symptoms associated with jaundice: Jaundice appears 2-3 days after birth and generally disappears automatically within 1 week. However, there are also cases where the reaction is strong or lasts longer, and some newborns will have symptoms such as congenital biliary obstruction.

4. Bacterial or viral infections: Weak resistance to bacterial or viral infections may lead to the more terrible sepsis or purulent meningitis. In addition, when such diseases occur in neonates, diagnosis may be delayed because the symptoms are not obvious.

5. Diseases caused by breathing disorders: The fetus obtains oxygen through the placenta in the mother's body, and has to breathe on its own after birth. If normal breathing is not possible, suspended animation or respiratory distress may occur.
