Therefore, when the weather changes drastically, we should pay attention to keeping warm. We can also use moxibustion and massage to treat it. If you want to perform massage on your baby when he or she has a cold, you should understand the acupoints and rub them about 100 times a day. You should also pay attention to controlling the temperature when massaging the baby.

Is massage effective for children with colds?

1. Rub your back. Rub the baby's back quickly in an I-shaped pattern back and forth. First, rub the Dazhui point horizontally, then rub straight along the spine, and finally rub the Mingmen point on the back opposite the navel and the Shenshu points on both sides horizontally. Rub it about 100 times until the baby's back is warm. Rub your back 2-3 times a day and you will see results quickly. For best results, rub your baby's back right after taking a bath while his body is still warm. When rubbing the back, you can rub it through clothes without affecting the effect. If your baby is left naked, the indoor temperature should be kept at around 20 degrees.

2. Methods of releasing sweat. If your baby has a cold and does not sweat due to the cold, and has a headache and discomfort, you can massage the baby using the four major sweating techniques to induce sweating and relieve the headache. Used for exogenous infection without sweating, fever and headache. The specific method is: 1. Pinch the Heart Meridian 3 to 5 times, located on the spiral surface of the last segment of the middle finger, with the thumb nail. 2. Rub your temples 50 to 100 times, using the tip of your middle finger to massage your temples with a little more force. 3. Pinch and rub the Ershanmen acupoint 200 to 400 times. Use the nails of your two thumbs to pinch and rub the depressions on both sides of the base of the middle finger. This acupoint is a special acupoint for inducing sweating. 4. Press Fengchi 50 times, using the thumb, index finger and middle finger to lift, pinch and knead Fengchi.

Diet therapy for colds in children

1. Ginger + brown sugar + garlic. If a child has a cold, drinking warm ginger and brown sugar water can be a good therapeutic treatment. If the child also has a cough, add 2 to 3 cloves of garlic to the ginger and brown sugar water and cook together. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes to remove the spiciness of the garlic. Only then will the child be willing to drink it.

2. Steamed garlic water. Take 2 to 3 cloves of garlic, smash them, put them in a bowl, add half a bowl of water, put in a piece of rock sugar, cover the bowl and put it in the pot to steam. After boiling over high heat, switch to low heat and steam for 15 minutes. When the garlic water in the bowl is warm, feed it to your child. The garlic does not need to be eaten. Generally 2 to 3 times a day, half a bowl each time. Garlic is warm in nature and enters the spleen, stomach and lung meridians. It is very effective in treating cold coughs and kidney deficiency coughs. It is also convenient and simple, and children are willing to drink it.

3. Roast oranges. Roast the oranges directly over low heat, turning them constantly, until the peels turn black and steam comes out of the oranges. Wait for the orange to cool down a bit, peel the peel and let your child eat the warm orange segments. If it is a big orange, the child can eat 2 to 3 slices at a time. If it is a small tribute orange, the child can eat one at a time. It is best to take it with garlic water, 2 to 3 times a day. Oranges are warm in nature and have the effect of resolving phlegm and relieving cough. After eating roasted oranges, the amount of sputum will be significantly reduced, the antitussive effect is very obvious, and children are willing to eat it.
