What causes white spots on children's faces?

The white spots on the child's face made the parents very worried. They thought that the child had roundworms in the stomach, so they rushed to buy medicine to deworm the child. In fact, the white spots on children’s faces are pityriasis simplex, a common skin disease among children and adolescents. There is no necessary connection between the white spots on a child's face and intestinal roundworms. To determine whether the child is infected with roundworms, we need to base our judgment on the results of stool tests. Apart from affecting appearance, pityriasis alba has little effect on the body and generally does not require special treatment, let alone deworming. Blind use of anthelmintics will damage children's liver function. The face should be kept clean and medication should be taken under the guidance of a doctor if necessary.

What causes white spots on children's faces?

1) Genetic factors: Vitiligo can be inherited, but the probability of inheritance is around 4% to 10%. People with a genetic background are more likely to develop vitiligo than healthy people. However, such people should not be overly pessimistic. They can effectively prevent vitiligo by taking good care of themselves, developing good living habits, and staying away from various pathogenic factors!

2) Unreasonable diet: People have improper diet for a long time and eat according to their own preferences. In the long run, it may lead to insufficient intake of substances that affect the body, resulting in nutritional imbalance in the human body, lack of important nutrients such as trace elements required for melanin synthesis, reduced pigment synthesis, and induce vitiligo.

Children's skin is delicate, their sebaceous glands are not fully developed, and their skin lacks protection. Children will become ill if they are malnourished, lack B vitamins, over-wash, or are exposed to the sun. The disease is most common in spring and gradually subsides in summer and autumn. So parents don’t need to worry too much. For malnourished children, the dietary structure should be adjusted and vitamins should be supplemented. To reduce or eliminate white spots.
