Be alert to pediatric diarrhea in spring care for children, four types of pediatric diarrhea

Parents need to be patient when taking care of their children, especially for some young babies whose bodies are very fragile. Therefore, reasonable arrangements should be made in their diet and daily routine to enable them to grow more smoothly. In the spring, parents should pay attention to their children's physical condition. It is very important to be alert to pediatric diarrhea when caring for children in the spring.

Many parents do not know much about the importance of being alert to pediatric diarrhea in spring child care, and they do not know what to do if they are alert. The following is a detailed introduction so that parents can have a good understanding of this issue.

Be alert to pediatric diarrhea in spring care:

Traditional Chinese medicine often divides diarrhea into the following four types based on the different symptoms of patients: spleen deficiency type, wind-cold type and damp-heat type. Carrots and rice soup are only suitable for treating diarrhea in children due to spleen deficiency.

Children with damp-heat diarrhea : Symptoms include fever, thick and greasy tongue coating, and egg drop soup-like stool with a little mucus. Children of this type can moderately increase their intake of barley porridge, which has the effect of clearing heat and removing dampness.

Children with wind-cold diarrhea : Symptoms include abdominal rumbling and pain, sometimes accompanied by fever, runny nose, etc. The stool is thin, foamy, light in color, and odorless. Such children can drink ginger tea: take 10 grams of ginger, 3 grams of tea leaves, and a little brown sugar. Cut the ginger into slices, boil them with tea leaves and appropriate amount of water, add brown sugar after boiling, and drink at will;

The typical symptoms of patients with spleen deficiency diarrhea are : the child suffers from long-term diarrhea, sallow complexion, loss of appetite, loose stools and undigested food. Therefore, if your child has the above symptoms, you can use carrot puree or rice soup to treat diarrhea. If it belongs to the other three types, other dietary therapy methods need to be chosen. For example, children with food poisoning often show symptoms such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, bad breath, etc., and often cry, have sour and smelly stools, and have undigested food before diarrhea. Such children can appropriately increase the intake of foods that help digestion and relieve stagnation, such as hawthorn and malt.

When it comes to food hygiene, we should pay attention to the following aspects:

1. Pay attention to the quality of diet: When mixed feeding and artificial feeding are adopted due to insufficient breast milk or lack of breast milk, attention should be paid to diet adjustment. It is not advisable to give rice paste or porridge and other foods too much or too early to avoid carbohydrate indigestion and affect the growth and development of children. If infants from birth to 3 months do not have enough breast milk, they can eat milk or soy milk to supplement. Whether using cow's milk or milk substitute, it needs to be properly diluted to facilitate digestion and absorption. When the appetite is poor, it is not advisable to force feeding.

2. Fruits and vegetables must be peeled before eating: In addition to being contaminated by pesticides, fruits and vegetables may also be contaminated by pathogens or parasites during the picking and selling process.

Through the above introduction, we have a good understanding of the importance of being vigilant about pediatric diarrhea in spring child care. Therefore, parents should pay attention to this in spring, especially in diet. They should pay attention to hygiene, and feed their babies clean food in spring, which is beneficial to their healthy development.
