Two-year-old baby walks with weak legs

If a two-year-old baby feels weak in the legs when walking, parents should pay attention to it. It is usually due to malnutrition. The most common symptom is bone maldevelopment and the child is calcium deficient. At this time, you should first go to the hospital for a check-up to find out if it is due to illness. If it is just due to malnutrition, you should pay attention to dietary adjustments and drug treatment.

Two-year-old baby walks with weak legs

1. There are many reasons why a two-and-a-half-year-old baby has weak legs when walking. Sometimes it is caused by calcium deficiency, sometimes it is caused by malnutrition or other diseases. During the period of weak legs, you must find out the cause of the weak legs. At this stage, you should take good care of the baby's legs and keep them warm. You should also pay attention to regular massage, which can soothe blood vessels and prevent muscle necrosis.

2. During the growth and development stage, the baby must have proper nutrition and calcium supplements regularly, which can improve the baby's bones. Because the baby's absorption ability is poor, and the physical energy required at this stage is more. If the nutrition cannot keep up, it is likely to cause nutritional deficiencies and cause weak legs. When walking, you should pay attention not to do too much or too much, which may cause leg deformation and lead to weak legs.

3. After the legs become weak, appropriate treatment measures should be taken, and attention should be paid to care and legs at this stage. Appropriate activities should be carried out. The baby's nutrition should be supplemented regularly, and a balanced diet should be provided, with a precise combination of coarse grains and fine grains. The baby should also drink some nourishing products appropriately. This will help supplement nutrition and prevent malnutrition, which can lead to weak legs.

Reasons why babies walk with their feet turned inward:

1. When babies walk, they adopt different gaits to stand and land comfortably and naturally correct the body's gravity. This is obviously physiological, and if the situation is not serious, the pigeon-toed phenomenon will disappear as the baby grows.

2. Tibial internal rotation deformity. This is a congenital phenomenon. The baby's tibia is not straight, but rotates inward at the ankle, causing the baby to walk with his feet turned inward. This condition must be treated as soon as possible.

The patient was treated in the hospital and the condition was corrected by wearing specially made inward-facing orthopedic shoes. This type of shoe is customized according to the inward rotation of the baby's feet. The upper is high to fix the baby's ankle joint. The bottom is made with a certain slope according to the cause of the baby's foot disease. As the baby's gait changes, a pair of shoes is generally replaced every six months.

3. Children with "O"-shaped legs and "X"-shaped legs have different gaits when walking, with the knees as the center. "O"-shaped legs are caused by the child's tibia bending inward, forming an "O" shape when the legs are together; "X"-shaped legs are caused by genu valgum, and when the legs are together, the calves turn outward, forming an "X" shape with the thighs.

If the baby's gait is indeed deformed, it needs to be corrected slowly. Depending on the severity, it may take 2 to 3 years or even longer. Therefore, the earlier your baby wears orthopedic shoes and orthopedic braces, the better. Some serious cases cannot be corrected and still require surgery.
