Children's abdominal B-ultrasound lymph node enlargement

Children's abdominal B-ultrasound lymph node enlargement

Swollen lymph nodes in the abdomen is a very common condition, especially in children. If the abdominal lymph nodes are swollen, it is generally difficult to see with the naked eye, but the child will experience nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. If a child shows these symptoms, parents should take the child to the hospital for an ultrasound examination as soon as possible to determine the specific cause of the disease. So, what should we do if a child’s abdominal ultrasound shows enlarged lymph nodes?

Generally speaking, children's abdomen is the most prone to lymphadenopathy. So, what should we do if children have swollen lymph nodes in their abdomen? What are the precautions?

What should I do if my child has swollen abdominal lymph nodes?

Based on the child's current symptoms of vomiting and abdominal pain, previous history of fever, and abdominal B-ultrasound showing enlarged abdominal lymph nodes, the current diagnosis is abdominal lymphadenitis, the cause of which is attributed to the inflammatory response of previous acute upper respiratory tract infection, and the main clinical symptoms are vomiting and paroxysmal abdominal pain.

Abdominal lymphadenitis requires anti-inflammatory treatment. Antibiotics such as mezlocillin or cephalosporins (it is recommended to do an allergy test before taking the medicine, as some children have allergic symptoms and need to stop taking the medicine) can be taken for 1 to 2 weeks. At the same time, eat more light and easily digestible foods. Yanning Granules and Xiaoerkang are both traditional Chinese medicine preparations, and their antibacterial effects are not as good as Western antibiotics. Yanning Granules can be taken at other times. It is recommended to stop using Xiaoerkang as it is not very useful in treating abdominal lymphadenitis.

It is recommended to recheck the abdominal lymph nodes by color Doppler ultrasound within 1 to 2 weeks after taking antibiotics to observe changes in the lymph nodes. Regarding the problem of poor resistance in children, the most fundamental solution is to start with food. They can eat yam porridge for a long time to strengthen the spleen and stomach. Chinese medicine says that "the spleen and stomach are the foundation of acquired constitution."

What are the precautions?

1. Pay attention to daily cleanliness and hygiene, and actively treat the primary lesion.

2. Avoid trauma at ordinary times. If there is skin damage, it should be treated promptly to prevent the spread of infection.

3. If you suffer from tonsillitis, tooth decay, finger infection, tinea pedis, carbuncle, etc., you should also take antibacterial and anti-inflammatory measures in time or actively treat to control the infection.

4. Exercise actively, exercise reasonably, and enhance physical fitness.

5. The diet should be light, nutritionally balanced, and avoid spicy foods.

6. In terms of diet, eat more foods high in vitamins to help eliminate toxins from the body.

To sum up, if a child has swollen lymph nodes in his abdomen, you can choose to treat it with anti-inflammatory drugs and surgical treatment. In addition, diet therapy is also a good choice.

Although there are many drugs for treating swollen lymph nodes, you can try the following three drugs:
