The impact of brain protection on babies

Newborns are prone to some brain diseases, which are quite harmful to the children. They often lead to developmental disorders and seriously affect their intelligence. If the child is likely to have some brain damage, a brain protection injection can be used for treatment. Generally speaking, this kind of brain protection will have a positive effect on babies. It is important to prevent brain damage in newborns in normal times.

The impact of brain protection on babies

If a child uses a brain protection injection, it means that the child may have brain damage or brain maldevelopment. Generally it will not have any impact on children, but some may experience relative excitement symptoms. However, the child's symptoms are not very obvious, so no treatment is required.

What are the causes of neonatal brain damage?

1. Neonatal brain damage caused by hypoxia and ischemia is mainly caused by expectant mothers during pregnancy or delivery. This type of brain damage is currently the most common type of neonatal brain damage and has the highest incidence rate, accounting for 60% to 70% of all neonatal brain injuries.

2. Newborns may suffer brain damage due to bacterial or viral infection, which causes loss of function of infected nerve cells. This is also a cause of brain damage in newborns.

3. Because the newborn has an accident, such as falling, bumping or being hit, the brain damage caused in this situation is another cause of newborn brain damage. In most cases like this, the baby may have pathological changes due to bleeding in the brain or concussion.

How to prevent brain damage in newborns

1. Be sure to do a pregnancy check

If the mother is found to have severe anemia, heart and kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, tuberculosis, severe pneumonia, pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, etc. during pregnancy, which may cause fetal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage, she should first receive treatment or control the conditions, and plan pregnancy after her physical and mental state is healthy.

2. Do a good job of prenatal check-up

An umbilical cord that is too long, too short, wrapped around the neck, knotted, or prolapsed, or placental calcification, velamentous placenta, placenta previa, or early placental detachment, can all cause fetal intrauterine ischemia and hypoxia. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the prenatal blood pressure, weight, uterine fundus height, fetal heart rate, fetal movement, etc. If any problems are found, appropriate measures should be taken in time.

3. Strict monitoring during delivery

During the delivery process, the fetal heart rate must be closely monitored, and the fetal scalp blood pH and blood gas must be measured regularly. If intrauterine distress is detected, oxygen and intravenous glucose and other drugs must be given in a timely manner, and the best method should be selected to end the delivery as quickly as possible.

4. Timely detection and treatment

Certain diseases after birth of newborns, such as amniotic fluid aspiration pneumonia, meconium aspiration syndrome, pneumonia, heart failure, etc., can cause hypoxic-ischemic brain damage. If the newborn is found to have groaning, foaming at the mouth, pale or cyanotic face, irregular breathing, etc., timely rescue should be carried out to minimize the damage of hypoxia-ischemia to the newborn's brain.
