Side effects of intravenous Aqi infusion in children

For many parents, the biggest worry is their children getting sick. When a child is sick, not only will the child be in great pain, but the parents will also feel extremely anxious. When treating children's diseases, intravenous infusion is often used. Although intravenous infusion is very helpful for the condition and has a relatively good therapeutic effect, it can also cause certain harm to the baby.

Side effects of intravenous Aqi infusion in children

1. First, there will be gastrointestinal reactions: diarrhea, vomiting, etc.; skin reactions: rash, itching, etc.; other reactions: such as anorexia, vaginitis, dizziness or dyspnea, etc.; but there is no clear statement about the effect of azithromycin on people with severe renal dysfunction, so it should be used with caution in these patients.

2. As the hepatobiliary system is the main method of excretion of azithromycin, it should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function and should not be used in patients with severe liver disease. Liver function should be followed up regularly during medication. It is recommended to use imported azithromycin, such as Xishumei, which has a higher potency and higher drug safety, but is more expensive than domestic products.

3. If an allergic reaction occurs during medication, the medication should be stopped immediately and you should go to the hospital to see a doctor. Some reactions caused by azithromycin may recur and require a long period of observation and treatment. Attention should be paid to the symptoms of secondary infection caused by non-sensitive bacteria including fungi, which should be taken seriously.

Precautions for baby infusion

1. During the infusion process, parents are requested to cooperate and take good care of their children. Avoid swelling caused by needle dislodgment or blockage due to crying of children.

2. Infusion on an empty stomach can easily aggravate the symptoms of gastrointestinal reactions, such as vomiting, abdominal pain, etc. It can also increase the chance of allergic reactions in children, so infusion on an empty stomach should be avoided as much as possible.

3. Children are young and active, and their blood vessels are thinner and more fragile. Extravasation of infusion may occur occasionally. The nurses will deal with it in time and parents do not need to panic. During the infusion process, the infusion bottle should be raised when going to the toilet to avoid blood reflux.

4. If your child is found to be unwell, with fever, abdominal pain, vomiting or convulsions, pale complexion, cyanosis, profuse sweating, or coma during the infusion process, please report to the nurse immediately.

5. In order to ensure the safety of your child's infusion, parents are requested not to adjust the infusion speed at will, and please do not leave the infusion hall during the infusion.

6. Please keep the room clean and do not urinate, smoke or litter anywhere to avoid cross infection of diseases.

7. All liquids (regardless of the number of bottles) should be finished on the same day and should not be taken away. After the infusion is completed, wait for the nurse to pull out the needle, and press the skin of the needle hole with a cotton ball for 5 to 10 minutes (do not press and rub at the same time). You can leave only after there is no bleeding.
