What should I do if a small lump grows inside my child's neck and slides?

Nowadays, every family has one to two children, and every child is the treasure of the family. Children at home live a life of having everything provided for them. They are afraid of dropping them if they hold them in their hands, and afraid of melting them if they hold them in their mouths. The health of children is one of the issues that parents pay most attention to. Some of them are because bumps and bruises in life are inevitable, and some are because there are problems with the children’s own health and parents need to pay more attention. The next thing to talk about is the problem of the sliding lump of flesh on the child's neck.

In most cases, those little "bumps" are lymph nodes. The lymph nodes should be felt carefully and if they are no larger than a pea, individual, movable and non-tender, then this is normal. Lymph nodes are important immune organs in the human body. They swell as a temporary reaction during local or systemic infection. Generally speaking, swollen lymph nodes in the neck are caused by local inflammatory reactions. In cases of purulent tonsillitis, oral ulcers, tooth decay, etc., lymph node enlargement and local tenderness may occur at the mandibular angle and under the chin. If a single lymph node is enlarged and tender, accompanied by fever and elevated white blood cell count in blood tests, it is usually suppurative lymphadenitis. If you find swollen lymph nodes, you should first distinguish whether it is normal or abnormal. At the same time, you need to observe whether it is gradually increasing in size. If it is accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever and weight loss, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. It may also be caused by inflammation of a certain part of the body. It may disappear on its own after a few days of observation, or you can take some anti-inflammatory drugs for treatment.

Don’t worry too much about small bumps, because it will make your child nervous. Small bumps are more likely to be lipomas! If it is just a simple small bump, don’t worry too much. If the lipoma does not grow, it will generally not affect the physical condition! If you are worried about the appearance, you can take surgical treatment to remove it, but don’t worry too much because it is a very small surgical operation!

If a child has this condition, it is recommended that he go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination, using advanced medical equipment and an experienced doctor's diagnosis. This will not delay the disease and can confirm the diagnosis as soon as possible, which will provide a good guarantee for the child's healthy growth.
