What to do if your child has astigmatism

What to do if your child has astigmatism

Many people have symptoms of astigmatism in their daily lives, especially children. It not only causes certain harm to children's eye health, but also seriously affects their normal study and life. Therefore, it is particularly important to find a scientific and effective treatment method. Children can recover through scientific and healthy eye use, eye massage, eye cleaning and surgery.

1. Eye massage to restore eye astigmatism

Regular eye massage is very beneficial for preventing and recovering from astigmatism, and it also helps with eye health. You can massage the Tianying, Jingming, Sibai, Taiyang, and Zanzhu points around the eyes, 10 minutes each time, 3 times a day. This can stimulate the acupoints, promote blood circulation, protect the eyes, and help improve the problem of astigmatism. It is best to strengthen eye massage after using your eyes to relax the eye muscles.

2. Use eye posture to restore eye astigmatism

Astigmatism is mostly caused by improper use of the eyes. Therefore, when reading or writing, the light should be sufficient and soft, the reading posture should be correct, and the eyes should be kept between 30 cm and 40 cm away from the book. Do not read while lying down, and do not read in the car or boat. In addition to reading, you should also pay special attention to your posture when watching TV and surfing the Internet. The height should be slightly lower than the parallel line of the eyes. This can prevent astigmatism and help restore eye astigmatism.

3. Corrective surgery to restore astigmatism

Astigmatism can be corrected with laser surgery. The surgical method is similar to that for myopia. Just set the laser to the corresponding degree. Laser treatment can effectively restore the problem of astigmatism. Which specific surgical method is suitable needs to be determined through a preoperative examination in the hospital.

4. Clean your eyes to restore astigmatism

Proper eye cleaning can wash away harmful substances and dust in the eyes, improve the refractive errors of astigmatism, hyperopia and myopia, and help restore eye vision. Specific steps: Disinfect the basin thoroughly, pour in warm water at about 45 degrees, then put your face into the water, slowly open your eyes in the water, move your eyeballs up and down, left and right, and rotate. After turning a few circles, you will feel your eyes are very comfortable and bright.

5. Frequent eye movement to restore astigmatism

Frequent eye rolling is very helpful for recovering from astigmatism, exercising the eye muscles, improving nutrition, and making the eyes flexible. Specific steps: Relax your whole body, clear your mind, open your eyes, move your eyeballs, and be careful not to move your head and neck. First, look directly below, then slowly turn to the left, then to directly above, to the right, and finally back to directly below. In this way, turn clockwise 6 times. Then let the eyes turn from directly below, to the right, to directly above, to the left, and finally back to directly below. In this way, turn counterclockwise 6 times. Do this 4 times in total. Each time you turn, the eyeballs should reach the limit as much as possible.
