Reasons why newborns hum when they sleep

Many young mothers will find that their newborns hum while sleeping, and this phenomenon occurs frequently? Everyone mistakenly thinks that the child has woken up or is crying. First of all, when this happens, parents will usually pick up the child, which in turn affects the child's sleep. Let us now introduce what causes this.

The quality of sleep has a great impact on the baby's health. If your baby is not sleeping well, the possible reasons are as follows:

1. Improper diet: eating too much before going to bed, frequent feeding at night, inability to adapt to newly added complementary foods, indigestion, etc.

2. Physiological reasons: teething period, weaning period, and after vaccination.

3. The baby is too tired: playing for too long before going to bed and being overly excited; or being frightened during the day, feeling fearful, anxious, etc., which makes it difficult to suppress the spirit and leads to difficulty falling asleep, commonly known as "noisy sleep", or waking up soon after entering the light sleep stage, making it difficult to enter the deep sleep stage.

4. Sleep problems: Long-term lack of sleep, unreasonable or irregular arrangement of sleep, eating and defecation time lead to sleep disorders; arbitrarily changing sleep time, and parents lack the awareness of cultivating and establishing their children's sleep biological clock.

5. Sleeping environment: such as polluted air, room temperature too high or too low, too dry; bedding is too thick, wearing cotton clothes to sleep, etc.

6. Illness: constipation, diarrhea, eczema, infectious diseases such as otitis media, sinusitis, early rickets, pinworm infection; children feel uncomfortable such as fever, nasal congestion, abdominal distension, pain, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, itching and other symptoms.

7. Changes in daily life: such as moving to an unfamiliar new house due to going out, having a new nanny or relative to take care of the baby, and worrying about being separated from parents due to business trips.

In the above article, we learned that newborns hum in their sleep. First of all, this phenomenon is that the child makes a sound unconsciously, which means that the child is crying because he has woken up. The air can gently pat the child when he is sleeping to make him fall asleep.
