What should I do if my child has poor resistance? Parents, remember these tips

If a child has poor resistance, he or she will often get sick, which is a headache for parents. There are many ways to improve children's resistance. First of all, you must provide children with sufficient nutrition, find ways to let children get enough rest, etc.

1. Provide adequate nutrition

Babies are in a continuous growth and development stage and require relatively more nutrients. However, since the digestive function is not fully mature and the diet is often monotonous, nutrient deficiencies are easy to occur; if there is insufficient nutrition, the resistance will be relatively poor. According to current research, mild (or subclinical) vitamin A and vitamin C deficiency is a common cause of recurrent respiratory tract infections in children. Therefore, eating more fresh colorful vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin C (the beta-carotene contained in them can be converted into vitamin A in the body) or supplementing with some multivitamin preparations can indeed effectively increase the baby's resistance.

2. Do some physical exercise

This is an important aspect of strengthening your physical fitness. Exercise should start from an early age. After a baby is one month old, he can lie outside for a while in the summer and open the window to breathe fresh air in the winter. Don't wear too many clothes. Train your baby to adapt to colder environments from an early age so that he will not easily catch a cold when the climate changes. Outdoor activities can not only enable the skin to synthesize vitamin D, thereby promoting calcium absorption, but also have a good effect on the development of muscles, bones, respiratory, circulatory systems and the metabolism of the whole body. Regular exercise can also increase your appetite. If your baby takes in enough nutrients, his physical fitness will be enhanced and his resistance will be significantly increased.

3. Get enough sleep

Poor sleep can reduce the number of T cells in the body that are responsible for fighting viruses and tumors, thereby increasing the chance of getting sick. Experts recommend that growing babies need 8-10 hours of sleep per day.

4. Do not use antibiotics arbitrarily

When the infection is not very serious, try not to use antibiotics, but rely on your own resistance to exercise the immune system. In this way, when you encounter the same "enemy" next time, the trained immune cells will produce targeted immunity to protect the body's safety.
