Seasonal skin allergies in children

Seasonal skin allergies in children

Children have relatively poor resistance and are more susceptible to infection. Some children may be allergic to certain things and their parents don’t even know it. Children can also suffer from skin allergies, which become more serious when the seasons change. Children are not like adults. They don’t know anything. They just feel itchy and can’t help scratching with their hands. This is very unhygienic. If it is scratched, it will cause infection. It is not a big deal in itself.

Seasonal skin allergy is a type of contact dermatitis caused by pollen that recurs seasonally and is more common in spring and autumn. Due to various environmental factors, allergenic substances such as bacterial spores and pollen dispersed in the air will release a large amount of histamine, a compound that is distributed almost throughout all tissues of the human body, causing nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy throat, swollen eyelids and other phenomena. It causes people to experience allergic symptoms such as severe itching of the skin, rashes and scales, peeling, redness and white spots on the face, and mottled colors.

The clinical manifestations are sudden seasonal occurrences, with the rash mostly limited to the face and neck, manifested as mild erythema, edema, slightly raised or accompanied by a few rice-sized red papules; some manifest as erythema around the eyes or neck, with no obvious edema; some may also be eczema-like changes, mild lichenified rash, and sometimes bran-like scales. It is often accompanied by itching, which occurs repeatedly every year and may disappear on its own.

Common symptoms include:

Redness, itching, and swelling of the skin under sterile conditions are common in people with congenitally fragile skin;

Eczema is more likely to occur with seasonal changes, and the skin has weak resistance to ultraviolet rays. It can cause skin allergies to synthetic fabrics, too strong perfumes, changes in water quality, etc. The causes of skin allergies are generally due to eating seafood, using or touching substances containing metals, breathing air containing plant pollen, and reacting to objects or insects.

Various reasons lead to the lack of congestion in capillaries, causing blood circulation disorders, which in turn lead to skin allergies.

Seasonal skin allergies are caused by internal factors, such as indigestion, endocrine dysfunction, and metabolic disorders; allergies are caused by neuropsychiatric factors, such as excessive fatigue, mental stress, depression, insomnia, etc., which can induce and aggravate allergies; a history of hereditary allergies is an allergic constitution; and external factors such as heat, cold, sunlight, ultraviolet rays, plants, fur, silk, cosmetics, soap, laundry detergent, etc. Stay away from allergens. Because allergic symptoms will always exist and cannot be cured, you can only be careful at all times and avoid contact with allergens that may cause allergies. |||Hello, this is urticaria, a common allergic skin disease. Most patients are caused by external factors, and some people are born with allergic constitutions. Severe cases can cause nausea, vomiting, and even shock. Your child's hives may be caused by seasonal changes. For treatment, it is recommended to take oral chlorpheniramine, cimetidine tablets, and prednisone tablets. Do not stop taking the medicine after the condition improves. Continue to take it orally in reduced dosage and extend the treatment course. Also be careful to avoid contact with allergenic substances.
