What should I do if my child has lymphangioma?

Lymphangioma is a relatively rare disease clinically. It is a benign hyperplasia of lymphatic vessels. However, China has a large population base, so compared with other countries, there are relatively more patients with this disease, and most of them are children. The main reasons are viral infection and natural environmental factors. So, what should we do if children suffer from lymphangioma? What method is better for treatment?

1. Swollen lymph nodes:

The main symptom is superficial lymphadenopathy, which is most common in the neck, followed by the armpits and groin. The early symptoms are similar to lymphadenitis. The swollen lymph nodes are peristaltic, painless, hard, and mostly movable. They are not adhered to each other in the early stage, but may fuse in the late stage. Antibiotic treatment is ineffective, and the lymph nodes become larger day by day. Lymph nodes in other parts of the body are also swollen.

2. Fever:

The fever of children with lymphoma is often irregular, with long-term low-grade fever or periodic fever, accompanied by hepatosplenomegaly, abdominal pain, etc. Therefore, when children have unexplained lymphadenopathy or fever, and the lymphadenopathy persists for a long time and is not tender, they should be examined and treated promptly.

3. Compression symptoms caused by swollen lymph nodes:

As the disease progresses, the cancer will compress other parts of the child's body. For example, compression of the esophagus can cause difficulty in swallowing, and compression of the trachea can cause coughing, chest tightness, difficulty breathing and cyanosis.

Treatment of lymphangioma

1. Laser treatment of lymphangioma has a good effect

Surgery is extremely convenient for smaller lymphangiomas. For smaller capillary lymphangiomas, especially those that are mixed with small blood vessels and are light red or purple, conventional treatment causes slightly more bleeding, but laser can provide a clean, complete and thorough treatment.

2. Nd for surgical treatment:

YAG laser, quartz laser knife 60cm long was disinfected with 5% iodine, and then deiodinated with 75% ethanol for later use. Strict aseptic technique is used, the surgical area is strictly disinfected and covered, and after local anesthesia, the quartz laser knife directly enters the lymphangioma to output laser. The size and time ratio of laser output can be adjusted at any time depending on the size of the tumor.
