Can thrush grow on the tongue?

Children often get thrush because of their low resistance. Thrush sometimes grows on the tongue and sometimes on both sides of the mouth. It looks like white bubbles. Once a child has thrush, it will affect his appetite and thus his health. Therefore, adults must pay special attention to children's oral hygiene to prevent problems before they occur. Children must be treated promptly if they have thrush. You can use some effective folk remedies or go to the hospital to see a doctor for treatment.

Oral thrush usually grows on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and looks like white bubble-like spots. Thrush can be treated with nystatin. Grind nystatin into powder, mix one tablet with 10ml of water, and apply it to the baby several times a day. It will usually be cured in two or three days.

Oral thrush in children is an infectious disease of the oral mucosa caused by fungi (Candida albicans). Thrush is more common in newborns and children with chronic diarrhea, malnutrition, or long-term use of antibiotics and corticosteroids, as well as unhygienic nipples and eating utensils that allow mold to invade the oral mucosa.

Thrush is a very common oral ulcer disease in infants and young children. It is divided into several types, generally divided into micro- and severe types, which are distinguished by the size of the blisters. When an attack occurs, it is usually limited to a single part. If there are many tumors in the same area, it is a more serious condition.

The real cause of thrush is still unclear in academic theory. The most accepted hypothesis is that it is due to immune problems. Malnutrition and lack of sleep may lead to poor resistance. Oral thrush can easily develop inside the mouth, on the cheek mucosa and tongue, or on the soft palate at the back of the mouth. The light ones are not too big and are irregularly round in shape. They are light pink in color and sometimes have yellow-white mucous membrane on them. They will heal automatically within 7 to 10 days. They usually exist alone and no more than 4 to 6 at most.

Although thrush will heal naturally, medication can relieve its pain. Antifungal drugs are usually used 4 times a day after meals. Before giving the medicine, you should moisten the mouth with a little warm water. If the antifungal drug used is a suspension, drop the suspension into both sides of the mouth; if the antifungal drug used is a powder, use a cotton swab or a gauze-wrapped finger to dip the drug and apply it to the mouth. Do not give your baby anything to eat within 30 minutes of taking this medicine. Take this medicine for at least 7 days, or for at least 3 more days after the white patches disappear.
