What's wrong with the child's chest pain?

The heart pit we often refer to is the concave area in the middle of the left and right ribs. Heart pit pain in adults is mostly caused by disease, but what causes heart pit pain in children? This situation is not common among children, but when it occurs it is related to many aspects. For example, if the child is injured, it will inevitably cause pain when being touched by hard objects. In addition, when the child has pneumonia or asthma, pain in this area will also occur.

While your baby's chest pain is unlikely to be a heart attack, there are many other possibilities. Here are some signs of chest pain in children:

Injury: Your baby may injure the bones or muscles in his chest when he falls, bumps into something, or is hit. If he continues to cough frequently, it could be that his muscles are stretched, causing the pain.

Asthma: Children with asthma may have a bad cough and difficulty breathing. His symptoms may be worse at night, in the early morning, after running, or after crying.

Pneumonia: If the pain is caused by a long-term cough, your baby may have pneumonia. Other symptoms of pneumonia include a cold that seems to be getting worse, shortness of breath and labored breathing, and possibly wheezing, fever, chills, loss of appetite, stomach pain, vomiting, irritability and headache.

Swallowing foreign objects: If your baby has difficulty breathing, be sure to call 120 emergency number. If he swallowed something he shouldn't have, such as a toy or coin, he may feel chest pain and may cough, wheeze, or drool as the foreign object descends down his esophagus and irritates it.

Gastroesophageal reflux: If your baby complains of chest pain after eating, it may be caused by acid reflux. Gastroesophageal reflux may be more likely to occur when your baby is lying on his back. He may also experience a sore throat, a sour taste in the mouth, or vomiting.
