If you feel that your child has symptoms of stomach heat, you should take him to the hospital for a detailed examination and treatment as soon as possible. Generally speaking, when this happens to children, they will feel that their stools become dry and they will often feel thirsty. If this continues for a long time, they will cry constantly and have some burning symptoms on their lips. Symptoms of stomach heat in children If the heat in the stomach is intense, the digestion function will be overactive, and symptoms such as noise in the stomach, rapid digestion and hunger may occur. If the heat is intense, the body fluids will be consumed, resulting in internal accumulation of dryness and heat, and the stomach will lose its harmony and descending function. Symptoms such as bitter taste in the mouth, thirst and constipation may be seen. In severe cases, it may deplete yin fluid and cause stomach yin deficiency. Gastric fire inflammation can cause gastric qi to rise, and symptoms such as nausea, vomiting of sour, bitter and yellow water may occur. Stomach fire goes up along the meridians and causes toothache, gingival swelling, or nosebleed. The heat burns the stomach's veins, causing blood to overflow and cause hematemesis. Stomach heat is mostly caused by eating too much spicy and greasy food, excessive stomach fire, or evil heat invading the stomach, or qi stagnation turning into fire. Fire burns inside the body, causing stagnation of Qi and blood in the stomach and viscera meridians, so there is burning pain in the epigastrium. Heat damages body fluid, so one feels thirsty and likes cold drinks. Fire can digest food, so one will digest food and feel hungry. If liver fire attacks the stomach, one will swallow acid and have noisy stomach. If fire goes up through the meridians, one will have bad breath, swollen and painful gums, and nosebleeds. If Yangming is hot or body fluid is damaged, there will be constipation, red urine, red tongue with yellow coating, and slippery and rapid pulse. Stomach heat, according to traditional Chinese medicine, is caused by the evil heat in the stomach, or excessive consumption of fried, dry and hot foods, which can cause symptoms such as thirst, bitter taste in the mouth, bad breath, dry mouth, oral erosion, swollen and painful gums, dry throat, short and red urine, and constipation. Patients with stomach heat usually like to eat cold foods and do not like hot foods. They often feel comfortable after eating a lot of cold foods. When there is stomach heat and pain, there is often a rough feeling in the stomach. Some patients with stomach heat will feel bloated and have no appetite, while some patients with stomach heat will have an overactive stomach and accelerated peristalsis, resulting in a big appetite and continuous eating. There are many reasons for stomach heat. Improper diet, such as alcoholism, spicy food addiction, excessive consumption of fatty foods, etc., may cause stomach heat. Qi stagnation, blood stasis, phlegm, dampness, food accumulation, etc. may also stagnate and turn into heat and fire, leading to stomach heat (stomach fire). In addition, disharmony between the liver and stomach can also cause stomach heat (stomach fire). |
