Why does my baby’s hair sweat while sleeping?

Sweating is a physiological manifestation and a symbol of metabolism in the human body. Generally speaking, many children sweat a lot when they sleep. In this case, in addition to considering physiological sweating, we must also be careful about the child's nutritional deficiencies. Many reasons may cause sweating, so why does the baby's hair sweat when sleeping?

1. Physical reasons

Infants and young children have active metabolism, their skin contains more water, and there are more microvessels on the surface of their skin, so more water evaporates from their skin. Because the baby's brain and nervous system is not yet fully developed and is in the growth and development period, the body's metabolism is very active. Coupled with the stimulation of overheating, the baby can only regulate normal body temperature by sweating to evaporate the heat in the body. Moreover, children are lively and active, and many of them like to play with their parents for a while after going to bed at night, so they often sweat a lot after falling asleep.

2. Nursing reasons

Parents are often accustomed to deciding the best environmental temperature for their children based on their own subjective feelings. They like to cover their babies with more quilts and cover them tightly. This is also the reason why the baby's head sweats when sleeping.

3. Nutritional reasons

Many parents are always worried that their children are not getting enough nutrition and try every means to get their children to eat more supplements. Some parents will give their children milk, malted milk, etc. before the baby goes to sleep. After the baby falls asleep, the body produces a large amount of heat, which is mainly dissipated through sweating through the skin. When the baby's head sweats while sleeping, parents should carefully observe whether the baby's sweating is physiological sweating or pathological sweating. If the baby's head sweats due to the above reasons, parents do not need to be too nervous.
