Reasons for dark skin in children

Reasons for dark skin in children

Usually there are some reasons for children's dark skin, but most of them are caused by physiological reasons. Sometimes consuming some foods will cause your child's skin to turn yellow, including pumpkin, water spinach and carrots. These foods contain too much carotene, which will cause some pigmentation on the skin.

1. Yellowing of the skin caused by food: Carrots, pumpkin, orange juice, water spinach, cabbage, mango and other vegetables and fruits are rich in carotene. Excessive intake can cause carotenemia, which leads to yellowing of the skin, most obvious on the palms and soles, followed by the face and behind the ears. In severe cases, the skin all over the body can be affected.

2. Yellowing of the skin caused by drugs: Long-term use of drugs containing yellow pigments, such as atadipine, furans, etc., can also cause the skin to turn yellow.

3. Yellowing of the skin caused by poor blood circulation: The liver directly affects the blood vessels. Excessive liver fire or stagnation of liver qi can easily lead to poor blood circulation, affecting blood circulation in the face and making the skin naturally dull.

4. Yellowing of the skin caused by oily sebum: The oil, old cuticles and dirt accumulated on the surface of the skin will cause yellowing of the skin if not removed in time.

5. Yellowing of the skin caused by pigment accumulation: If the pigment is not effectively removed, it will accumulate over a long period of time and cause yellowing of the skin.

6. Ultraviolet radiation causes yellowing of the skin: Ultraviolet rays are the main killer of skin aging. They can cause disordered skin texture, poor blood circulation, and melanin accumulation, making the skin dark and yellow.

7. Staying up late and lack of sleep for a long time cause yellow skin: Due to staying up late and not getting enough sleep, the liver and gallbladder cannot get enough rest, which can manifest as rough skin, dark spots, yellow complexion, etc.

9. Yellow complexion caused by accumulation of toxins in the body: Under normal metabolism, the food people eat passes through the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, and is finally discharged from the anus. The whole process can usually be completed within 12-24 hours, thus ensuring that waste does not stay in the intestines for too long. Because the waste has been in contact with the intestinal wall for too long, it will inevitably be reabsorbed by the human body, causing poisoning.

Although the human body has such an anti-toxin function, fatigue, tension or other physiological reasons can cause metabolic dysfunction and endocrine disorders, causing the body's waste to remain in the body for a long time. The remaining waste begins to rot in the intestines, and the flora in the colon will continue to decompose the waste and produce toxins. These toxins are reabsorbed through the colon, continuously seeping out to pollute the internal environment, and then enter different organs of the human body through blood circulation, thereby entering the body and causing various diseases, such as memory loss, fatigue, sallow complexion, constipation, hemorrhoids, endocrine disorders, obesity, etc.
