What should I do if my child has allergic rhinitis?

Allergic rhinitis is a common disease in daily life. Its incidence is very wide, and many children also suffer from this disease. So what should we do if children suffer from allergic rhinitis? Many parents don’t fully understand this. In fact, there are four folk remedies for treating allergic rhinitis in children. The first one is nasal washing.

1. Salt water nasal washing for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children:

Parents can prepare salt water for their children. Dilute two spoons of salt with 100 ml of water, and then use a toothpick to dip the salt water to help the child wash his nostrils, or put a cotton ball dipped in salt water into the child's nostrils, let the child lie flat or tilt his head back, press both sides of the nose with your hands, and after a few minutes, when the salt water flows into the child's nasal cavity, you can remove the cotton ball.

During this process, at the beginning, the child's nasal cavity may feel irritated and uncomfortable due to the stimulation of salt water. This is normal. As long as you persist for a few times, you will be able to adapt to it.

This method will not be effective in one go. It requires persistence for several times. Wash every morning and evening. After a month, your child's allergic rhinitis will be much better.

2. Cold water as a folk remedy for treating allergic rhinitis in children:

Washing your nose with cold water can also help cure allergic rhinitis. Parents can let their children wash their noses with cold water. The specific steps are as follows: fill your palm with cold water from the tap, cover your nose with it, inhale the cold water into your nostrils, and then blow it out, then fill your palm with water and inhale it, and then blow it out again. Repeat this several times a day. I believe that the child’s allergic rhinitis symptoms will improve soon.

3. Folk remedy for treating allergic rhinitis in children: drops of sesame oil:

This method is very simple and the effect is very good. Parents can drop about five drops of edible sesame oil into the child's nasal cavity and repeat it three to five times a day.

What parents need to pay attention to about this method is that they should not use the drops when their child has severe nasal congestion. They can do so after the child's nasal cavity is unobstructed. If you persist in applying sesame oil drops to your child's nasal cavity, you will soon find that your child's allergic rhinitis has improved a lot.

4. Massage the eye sockets for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children:

As the saying goes, eye pain is the cause of nose pain. Parents can try to teach this method to their children, and let their children persist in using the correct method to massage the eye sockets. I believe it will be very helpful in relieving or even curing allergic rhinitis.

The specific massage technique is as follows: press the index fingers of both hands on the edge of the orbital bone under the eyes. There is a very shallow pit on this orbital bone. Use more force on this area, and rub up and down about one or two hundred times each time. Do orbital massage at least twice a day. After persisting for a period of time, the child's allergic rhinitis will be much better.

When allergic rhinitis in children is severe, it will affect the child's study and life, and even make the child unable to sleep all night. The process of curing allergic rhinitis in children is relatively long and requires persistence. The editor hopes that the above treatment remedies for allergic rhinitis in children can help parents and children and help children get rid of the troubles caused by allergic rhinitis as soon as possible.
