Baby always walks on tiptoe

Baby always walks on tiptoe

Many parents may buy a walker for their baby when teaching them to walk, so that the baby can learn to walk quickly. But in fact, walkers are somewhat dependent on babies, and the walking posture learned through walkers will also have certain disadvantages. So when the baby first starts to walk, parents should set a good example for the baby. So what should you do if the baby always walks on tiptoe?

Most babies start trying to stand with support at 10 months old. As time goes by, the baby's body functions become more and more perfect, but the baby's spine is still very fragile at this time. Learning to stand is actually a process for babies to explore their own strength, but they often fall because they "overestimate their own abilities". Babies who can walk at 10 months old often do so with the "help" of their parents, but there are also babies who are ahead of their time, but they are a minority after all. In most cases, babies will start learning to walk around the age of 1, but what does it mean to walk on tiptoes?

Many mothers will find that when their babies first start walking, they almost always walk on tiptoe. This is not a particularly strange phenomenon in itself, but it gives parents two messages. On the one hand, the baby's sense of balance is not strong, and on the other hand, the baby's spine cannot bear the weight of the body. Parents don't need to worry too much about the former, because this is a familiarization process and will improve over time. But for the latter, parents should be vigilant, because this will not only increase the burden on the baby's spine, but also easily make the baby afraid of walking. Therefore, mothers should pay special attention to the following three points when their babies are learning to walk.

1. Don’t force it, let it happen naturally.

When a baby learns to walk at the age of one, it is one indicator of the child's development, but not the only one. Some parents think that things should be done in a prepared manner, so they let their children learn to walk in advance. However, there may be some effect, but the baby's body is harmed. Therefore, it is best for babies to follow the laws of growth when learning to walk. If the baby is unwilling to try, we must not force it, just let it happen naturally.

2. Don’t be envious, other people’s children are theirs.

In places where children gather, you can often hear parents bragging about how early their babies learned to walk, thus successfully attracting some "fans" to ask for advice. When I encounter this situation, I usually just laugh it off. Other people's children will always be other people's. As the saying goes, don't force it, let it grow naturally. Only you know best whether your child can walk on his own. The experience you get from asking for advice is only tailored for others and may not be suitable for you. In my eyes, there are no stupid children, only parents who don’t know how to raise children.

3. Don’t choose the wrong walking tool.

In the past, our parents carried us while we were learning to walk. Now that living conditions are getting better and better, various types of walkers have come into being. However, walkers are not universal. Children have different body shapes and heights, so the walkers they choose may also be different. Sometimes I see some babies learning to walk on the street, completely using their toes to drive the walker forward. I don’t know if the parents don’t pay attention to this problem at all, or they think it doesn’t matter since they can walk. When I see this scene, I feel really sorry for the babies. This way, the babies will get tired after walking for a short time, and it also affects the development of their feet. Parents must choose the right model when choosing a walker for their babies.
