Nowadays, many parents pay more attention to their children's diet, because the baby's diet is related to the child's physical growth and development. Especially in many rural areas and poor mountainous areas, there are always some problems of poor diet and malnutrition. In particular, malnutrition can cause children to have poor height development, short stature and thin body. So how should the children's nutrition improvement project be properly arranged? It is understood that malnutrition among infants and young children is a prominent public health problem in my country's rural poverty-stricken areas, especially during the period of adding complementary foods from 6 to 24 months, when the prevalence of malnutrition and anemia is high. Therefore, the Ministry of Health, the Child Health Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and the WHO Collaborating Center for Child Health jointly implemented the "Infant and Young Child Feeding and Nutrition Improvement Project". Understand the malnutrition and anemia rates among children under 5 years old in our province, and take effective measures to improve the nutritional status of children under 5 years old in our province and reduce the anemia rate. . The project will further improve infant feeding, rationally add complementary foods, ensure infant nutrition, promote children's growth and development, and improve their health levels through professional training, health education, nutrient supplementation and other measures. In the future, our province will implement training on infant feeding knowledge and appropriate techniques for grassroots maternal and child health care workers. The training targets in rural areas will be maternal and child health care workers at the county, township and village levels. In urban areas, the coverage rate of maternal and child health care personnel at the city, district and community levels reaches 60%; health education and consultation are carried out to popularize knowledge on infant feeding, so that the education coverage rate of women of childbearing age and parents of infants reaches 60%; the knowledge rate of caregivers about correct complementary food addition reaches 60%; the rate of correct complementary food addition reaches 50%; the nutritional status of children under 5 years old in 3,500 families is investigated and intervened, and nutrition packs are distributed free of charge to 870 infants aged 6-24 months for 3 months, which include protein powder, multiple vitamins, and micronutrients such as iron and calcium. Currently, the nutrient package has been used in a pilot program and can promote the development of infants and young children and improve conditions such as anemia. The anemia prevalence rate among children under 5 years old has been reduced by 30% from the original level; the breastfeeding rate for children aged 0-6 months has reached 70%. With this special children's nutrition improvement project, we can help children improve their nutritional balance, dietary security, nutritional health and physical development of infants and young children. This not only brings more hope to the future of the motherland, but also brings peace of mind to every parent. |
