A lump under the child's eyes

A lump under a child's eye may be caused by a stye. It may also be related to the presence of a chalazion, both of which may cause a lump under a child's eye.

1. Stye: A lump under a child's eye is usually a stye, which is mainly caused by acute suppurative inflammatory lesions of the eyelid gland and is also related to staphylococcal infection. It mainly causes local redness, swelling, heat and pain. If the symptoms are more serious, timely medication is needed for treatment.
