Causes of frequent stomachache in 6-year-old children

When a child is sick, it is the most distressing time for the family, especially when seeing the child having a stomachache, curling up his legs in bed or waiting to go to bed with his hands on his stomach. When I saw it, I thought that I must teach the child some knowledge on how to prevent certain diseases in his daily life, and let him learn to prevent the occurrence of diseases by himself. When the child has abdominal pain, I know what the possible causes are.

1. Chronic enteritis: Chronic enteritis is often caused by incomplete treatment of acute enteritis. It can cause frequent umbilical or lower abdominal pain, but the pain is not severe, and there may be no diarrhea. There is often abdominal tension, poor defecation (the number of bowel movements may increase), and pain before and after defecation. Sometimes it is also accompanied by loss of appetite, abdominal distension, fatigue, etc.

2. Gastric ulcer: Gastric ulcer pain is most common around the navel and under the sternum, often accompanied by belching or acid reflux, repeated vomiting, poor appetite, aggravated abdominal pain after eating, and sometimes vomiting blood or blood in the stool. Gastric ulcer in children is mainly related to children's picky eating, uneven hunger and fullness during meals, and unbalanced hot and cold diets.

3. Irritable bowel syndrome: Irritable bowel syndrome is a disease of gastrointestinal motility disorder, also known as "allergic colitis". The main manifestation is recurrent abdominal pain, which may be located around the navel or in the left lower abdomen, and constipation and diarrhea may occur alternately. Most of the abdominal pain is aggravated before defecation and relieved after defecation. Each bowel movement is small, often with mucus, and jelly-like. This disease is often induced by mental factors, dietary discomfort or inability to adapt to the external environment.

When a child has a stomachache, we must take the child to the hospital for treatment in time. The stomachache of the child may be related to roundworms. If the child often has stomachaches, we must find some reasons in ourselves. Have we let the child develop good hygiene habits, or have we washed the fruit before the child eats it?
