How to deal with baby's fever and stomach pain

Baby fever is a relatively common condition, and there may be many reasons for baby fever. Some are due to colds, some are due to inflammation, etc. No matter what the reason, the baby will feel very uncomfortable. The fever may be accompanied by many complications, such as stomach pain, etc. So what should we do when our baby has a fever and stomachache? What can parents do to completely solve this problem?

If your baby has stomach pain and fever, it may be acute appendicitis. The abdominal pain is characterized by the baby feeling stomach pain or pain around the navel at first, and then turns into pain in the lower right abdomen after a few hours. Pressing the baby's lower right abdomen with your hand will intensify the baby's crying. The baby is often accompanied by symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, and then has a fever. There is another situation in which the abdominal pain of ascariasis is characterized by sudden abdominal pain when the environment changes or the baby has a fever, diarrhea, hunger, or eats irritating food. The baby cries, rolls on the ground, bends over, sweats, and has a pale face. The abdominal pain is most severe around the navel. It is recommended that you go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time.

Post-diagnosis precautions:

Drink more water. Drinking water helps to sweat and dissipate heat, lower body temperature and replenish the water lost by the baby's body. Drinking water is not limited to plain water. You can let your baby drink some of his or her favorite fruit juice, beverages, etc. to replenish water and vitamins, or drink more soup. When your baby is sick and has no appetite, you can let him/her eat some cake, tofu, etc.

Pay attention to keeping warm. The warmer the better. When your baby has a fever, remember not to dress him in too many clothes or cover him with too thick a quilt. This traditional method of "covering the sweat" is not conducive to dissipating heat and reducing fever. Just let the baby wear one more piece of clothing than the normal adult. For example, when the adult wears short sleeves, the baby can wear long sleeves. When the adult wears one long skirt, the baby can wear two.

Shower with warm water. Some mothers worry that giving their babies a shower during a fever will aggravate the symptoms. After having a fever, you sweat a lot. If you don’t keep clean, it is easy to cause infection by other bacteria, so taking a shower is necessary, but you must use warm water, and the water temperature is best at 38-39℃. Wiping or bathing your baby's entire body with warm water can dilate the blood vessels in the baby's skin and increase heat dissipation. After taking a shower, wrap your baby in a large towel to prevent him from catching a cold.

In the future, when your baby has a fever and stomachache, you must give the baby some warm water in time. You can also give them some of your favorite fruit juice. Of course, necessary physical cooling is also indispensable. Finally, if these methods cannot relieve the symptoms, it is best to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time, remember.
