When parents find out that their children have menstruation, they panic because menstruation usually occurs when their children reach puberty. However, it is definitely not a good sign if it occurs early because their children are not mentally mature enough. So when menstruation comes, they don’t know how to deal with it. They also feel that they are different from other children, so they have psychological barriers. Why do little girls experience precocious puberty? Precocious puberty is medically divided into two categories: ①True precocious puberty. This type of children establishes the function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary very early, can have ovulatory menstrual cycles, and are fertile. The sexual development process follows the normal sequence of puberty, except that it starts earlier and develops faster. The exact cause of precocious puberty is still unclear. Most of these children may have premature secretion of gonadotropin by the hypothalamus-pituitary gland. Under its stimulation, the ovaries and follicles mature prematurely, causing menstruation, and secreting estrogen, resulting in the development of breasts and reproductive organs. In a small number of children, due to brain diseases, such as encephalitis, congenital brain malformations, head injuries, intracranial tumors, etc., the normal function of inhibiting the secretion of gonadotropin is destroyed. ② Pseudo-precocious puberty. This type of precocious puberty is caused by the production of a large amount of sex hormones in the body, or the receipt of a large amount of exogenous sex hormones, which leads to the development of secondary sexual characteristics and sexual organs, and is called pseudo-precocious puberty. Children with pseudo-precocious puberty have undeveloped gonads and no germ cells are produced, so they have no reproductive function. Causes of Pseudo-Precocious Puberty Pseudo-precocious puberty is mainly caused by gonadal tumors, adrenal cortical tumors, etc., or by the influence of exogenous sex hormones and other factors. Precocious puberty caused by gonadal tumors is mainly manifested by the secretion of large amounts of sex hormones by gonadal tumors. Precocious puberty caused by adrenal cortical tumors mainly secretes large amounts of androgens, causing heterosexual precocious puberty in women. Precocious puberty caused by exogenous sex hormones and other factors is mainly due to the accidental ingestion of contraceptives, and is manifested by enlarged breasts, discoloration of nipples and areola, increased leucorrhea and vaginal bleeding. Generally, the symptoms will disappear naturally and return to normal after stopping the medication. As family economic conditions continue to improve, giving children tonic products such as ginseng and royal jelly too early may also cause precocious puberty, which should be noted. This article will give you a detailed introduction to why children have precocious puberty. Usually, patients with precocious puberty are little girls, and precocious puberty is divided into true precocious puberty and false precocious puberty. The causes of precocious puberty are not only due to normal living habits, but may also be caused by tumors inside the body. |
