How to train children's courage

A person's courage and bravery are cultivated from an early age. This quality is extremely important for children, which requires the teaching and encouragement of their parents. Every parent needs to learn how to build up their children's courage. Some children are afraid to sleep alone at night, and some children are afraid to say hello to adults when they see them. At this time, what should we do to train their courage?

In this age of the survival of the fittest, if a child is timid, it will have a very serious impact on the child's development in the future, especially when the child enters society. Therefore, many parents want to cultivate their children's courage from an early age. So, how should children train their courage? The factors that determine a child's courage and personality include innate temperament and acquired training. But acquired training can play a leading role.

1. Don’t show your disappointment in your child’s performance. This will only increase his inferiority complex.

2. Encourage him to express himself more and give him some opportunities. For example, telling a story or verbally describing what you did.

3. Try to compare him less with children who are more extroverted than him, although you can encourage him to learn from extroverted children.

4. Do not encourage quiet or introverted behavior in front of him, or praise other children's timid tendencies.

5. Don’t interfere or even give instructions if he can complete it independently. You can encourage him to go out and play with other children by himself.

6. There is another very important point. Let him taste the joy of being bold and expressing himself. As long as he develops an interest, he will try it himself. I believe that if he is given more space and training, he will gradually build up confidence and dare to express himself. Many successful people were shy when they were young, but later achieved success after consciously overcoming their character weaknesses.

The healthy growth of children is not only about physical development, but also about training them spiritually. It is more important to train their courage. As parents, we should often encourage our children and give them more opportunities to perform. Learn to praise your children and cultivate their self-confidence. Never criticize your children harshly just because they make a small mistake.
