What to do if your child has a cold, cough, or asthma

Children's colds, coughs and asthma are actually caused by colds. Asthma is also very normal. The cause of asthma is nasal congestion and difficulty breathing. It is recommended that you buy a nasal aspirator to suck out the child's snot and keep the breathing unobstructed. In addition to this method, never let your children come into contact with people who have colds. Colds are highly contagious and can be easily transmitted to children.

For children with colds, coughs and asthma, parents should pay attention to the following points:

First of all, during the influenza epidemic season, children with fever, cold, cough and asthma should have a longer course of illness. After diagnosis and treatment by the doctor, they should take medicine and receive care at home according to the doctor's instructions. Do not take your child to the hospital repeatedly because of a persistent fever, which increases the chance of repeated infection.

Second, in the early stages of a child's cold, when the condition is not serious, you can first give him some children's cold medicine; when the fever reaches above 38.5℃, take antipyretics in time, try to rest quietly, and drink plenty of water. When the condition worsens, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time. It is not advisable to handle it by yourself at this time, especially do not take adult medicines casually.

In addition, it is very important for parents to take good care of their children. If a child cannot sleep, there is no need to force him or her, he or she can sit and play. Children with vomiting and diarrhea should be given liquid food on the first day. For children with common fever and cough, they should eat delicious, light and nutritious food. In winter, they must be given hot food. Noodles and rice soup are good. Fever and sweating consume a lot of body fluids, so you should drink more water and juice, and eat more fruits. Do not bathe your child when he is sick, because bathing will increase blood circulation, which is not good for rest and will cause the child to catch a cold again. Children with a lot of phlegm will indeed increase their secretions after taking a bath, but this can only be done after a week of illness, when they have a slight cough in the morning, have a good appetite, can play, and have no fever. Then they can take a bath before going to bed. If you sleep well, you can wash it every other day.

There are several methods of treating coughs by boiling pears and rock sugar in water: one is to boil pears, almonds and rock sugar in water to treat wind-heat cough; one is to boil pears, orange peel, white radish and brown sugar in water to treat wind-cold cough; one is to boil pears, Fritillaria cirrhosa and rock sugar in water to treat dry cough, long-term cough and little sputum. Both have certain therapeutic effects.

It is best not to eat eggs after a child catches a cold. Parents can give their children more light food. During a cold, the child's body is very weak. At this time, it is necessary to make more bone soup for the child to nourish him. This will help the child's recovery and will not easily catch a cold in the future. Finally, I wish your child a speedy recovery.
