Treatment of long-term anemia in babies

Treatment of long-term anemia in babies

If a child has a disease that keeps recurring, it is very difficult for parents to bear. I believe most people know what anemia is. If it occurs in adults, frequent dizziness is a common symptom of anemia. The same is true for children with anemia. After a child has anemia, the body will gradually lose weight and have no appetite for a long time. So what should children do if they have long-term anemia?

Neonatal anemia can be diagnosed if venous hemoglobin (Hb) is less than 130g/L (13g/dl) or capillary Hb is <145g/L (14.5g/dl) in the first 2 weeks after birth. In recent years, with the in-depth understanding of the pathophysiology of neonatal anemia, the treatment plans for anemia have been continuously updated. Your baby is fine, just a little anemic

Now the treatment technology in this area is very mature, and it only needs a little treatment. Moreover, the baby's anemia symptoms are not very serious. It is recommended to give the baby medicine under the guidance of a doctor, which is safer. If the baby is breast-feeding, the mother can also supplement hemoglobin, which is also helpful in alleviating the baby's anemia.

Wait for the baby to be four months old:

Choose foods that are rich in iron and have high iron absorption rates. As the saying goes, food supplements are worse than medicine supplements. You can add cooked egg yolks to your baby. First, give your baby 1/4 of the egg yolk, and observe the baby's bowel movements for about four or five days. If the bowel movement is good, it means that the baby has adapted to this complementary food. The mother can then slowly add another 1/4 until the whole egg yolk. After the baby has adapted to the egg yolk, go buy some fresh Sunkist oranges, use a juicer to squeeze out the orange juice, and mix it with the egg yolk for the baby to eat. This can increase the absorption of iron in the egg yolk by up to 4 times. The addition of complementary foods is gradual, from one type to multiple types, and from small amounts to large amounts.

Babies with anemia need to be treated, but it depends on what type of anemia it is. If it is growth anemia, don't worry, because many children have this phenomenon during their growth. If you pay attention to your diet, it will generally heal without treatment. However, you need to pay attention to eating foods that are high in iron, such as carrots and spinach. You can also eat some animal livers. There is a kind of goose liver that is very good blood-enriching food. You can make it into noodles and put it in the rice. The child will feel much better after taking it. You can also use an iron pot to cook at home.

Usually, you should give your children more black beans, red beans, and red dates. These foods are very good at replenishing blood. The children are too young to eat them directly. It is best to cook them in porridge. This way, the porridge will have these blood-replenishing effects, which is very good for the children's body. When the children are young, you can also choose to eat more brown sugar water to improve their anemia and pay more attention to their rest.
